Full-Time Anywhere Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 (plus equity for right candidate)

Partnering with over 50 world-leading fertility experts, we have hit 6000 app downloads in 5 months from launch, and were picked by Apple in their ‘Hot Right Now’ list. We have been supported by Virgin Startup, FemTech Lab and ‘M’ accelerators, and have high-calibre international advisors onboard.

As three female founders we are an experienced and passionate team, with lived experience of fertility challenges, and a background in Investment Banking, Healthcare Management Consulting and Design.

The Challenge

Whilst we have a strong MVP app, we need to take our offering to the next level. We have now raised investment and are looking for someone to own building a scalable new app.

We will be building an exciting new app platform in partnership with external designers and developers with experience building scalable healthtech apps and need an internal Product Manager to lead the charge. The successful candidate will be the internal lead on the platform build and responsible for ensuring that the product is impactful.

Candidate profile

The ideal candidate is a driven self-starter who has built products from scratch before and owns the entire product lifecycle from strategy to evaluation. Data driven behaviour will be second nature to you. You will be used to making product decisions based on analytics, user behaviour and business intelligence. You will understand the needs of all stakeholders, be an excellent communicator and ultimately be accountable for the whole life cycle of the platform build and ongoing iterations.

Responsibilities 

  • As a Product Manager, together with the founders, you will be setting the product vision. You will be leading the charge to build a platform that delights our users – removing obstacles and making key decisions along the way
    You’ll be using your technical knowledge, combined with your Product Management experience, to build and evolve our platform and build a best-in-class toolkit for our growing fertility community
    You will work closely with external developers and designers to build out the next generation of the app
    You will understand our customers’ needs, keep up to speed on market trends and translate them into a clearly defined and appropriately prioritised product roadmap
    You will follow the latest UX/UI trends to continue developing a strong instinct for excellent user experience, working with external advisors where required
    You will define and monitor product success metrics using data-driven goals
    You will apply a combination of qualitative and quantitative research, customer understanding, and product intuition to inform decisions and prioritisation
    As the organisation grows, it is expected you will take more managerial responsibility and lead the build out of our in-house tech capabilities

Skills & experience

  • You have a technical background and understand the technical needs of developers, and can communicate with developers in order to build, test and iterate our platform
    3-5+ years of experience in product management
    Experience in mobile technology products for English speaking users
    You’ll have built products from scratch and can lead across the product life cycle – ideally in a startup or scaleup environment
    Broad and deep knowledge of the mobile ecosystem and hands-on experience with popular app frameworks and tools
    Track record of thoughtful, user-focused insights that have led to successful consumer product launches. You should be comfortable communicating ideas visually from a whiteboard, a sketchpad, wireframes, and visual mockups
    You are hardworking, diligent, and able to navigate highly complex processes, delivering simple, well thought through solutions
    You are a self-organised, self-starter – with the ability to cope with lots of competing demands, while still delivering value to our users everyday
    You are an excellent communicator and empathetic to all your stakeholders in order to build the most efficient and effective product organisation
    Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, technically conversant and able to collaborate easily with engineers and designers
    Demonstrated ability to handle ambiguity in a cross-functional agile environment
    You are comfortable using data analytics for data-driven product decisions
