In January 2019, TerraCycle announced its newest initiative, Loop, a global circular shopping system that enables brands, retailers, and consumers to transition from single-use disposable materials to reusable, durable packaging, washed by Loop and refilled by the brands.  Loop has engaged many of the world’s largest consumer product companies (including P&G, Nestlé, Unilever, PepsiCo, Coca-Cola, and Mondēlez) and many of the world’s largest retailers in this platform.  Loop went live in May 2019 in two major markets, one in Europe (Paris) and one in the US (NY,NJ, PA). In July 2020, Loop launched in the UK in partnership with Tesco while announcing plans to expand to Japan, Australia, and Canada.

Job Overview –

We are looking for a seasoned, resourceful, and driven professional, who will focus on driving growth for our DTC platform.

The successful candidate will have a collaborative, get-it-done attitude, who is passionate about analysing data, understanding root cause and hypothesis testing, willingness to take calculated risk to solve business problems and drive new business opportunities. This role will report to our General Manager & Global VP ZWB and will be based in our West London office in Perivale (remote during COVID).

Primary Responsibilities –

Define and prioritise a well-defined roadmap for digital commerce direct-to-consumer sites with internal stakeholders
Create a marketing strategy to fuel the growth of the e-commerce platform and attract new customers
Work with internal TerraCycle departments to develop and execute direct to consumer marketing campaigns, including but not limited to monthly and seasonal promotions and influencer marketing
Plan, deploy and measure marketing demand generation activities that increase product awareness and ultimately drive new business.
Leverage consumer insights when developing marketing strategy/plan
Evaluate the effectiveness and ROI of marketing campaigns
Develop and manage the revenue, expense, margin and volume forecast
Maintain website appearance and program structure by monitoring informational updates and enforcing consistent content and display standards
Create engaging content for website pages that encourage participation and product sales within brand structure
Develop strong relationships with core team members, including marketing, operations, R&D and finance
Develop internal and external support materials to increase customer satisfaction and improve the customer experience

Requirements/Skills – 

Bachelor’s degree required (preferably in business, marketing, e-commerce or a related field); MBA preferred
Minimum of 8 years of experience in a senior management role, holding progressively responsible positions in e-commerce organisation
Proven track record of growth/recovery of eCommerce business, ownership of top to bottom P&L
Ability to analyse performance of onsite behaviour, funnels, conversion levers and test hypotheses
Fluency in English and  French and other European languages will be an added bonus
Proven ability to execute complex projects and negotiations
Understanding of data and knowing how to use it to make recommendations to teams
Exceptional critical thinking, problem-solving, and prioritisation skills
Needs to be a creative and analytical thinker and problem solver, thrive in a fast paced environment, prioritise and oversee multiple projects at once, have attention to detail and work well with cross functional teams
Strong listening and cross-functional collaboration skills, across all levels
Timeline-driven with a strong sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines
