Job Title: Senior Product Manager (Technical)

Description of the role

 

As we embark on an ambitious project to take Dashworks to the cloud, we are looking for a pragmatic and strong product owner who will bring previous experience of successful delivery to our application. You will be responsible for leading a team of 8 area & feature product owners and growing. Reporting to the CTO, you will be coming into a key role in the organization with the autonomy to really drive change and make a difference.

 

A typical week may involve:

 

·       Line and performance management of your team

·       Hands on coaching and mentoring

·       Recruiting and onboarding new colleagues

·       Chairing internal feedback forums and external customer focus groups

·       Owning the product style guide and protecting of the consistency of the user experience

·       Leading the development of the prototypes

·       Building domain knowledge of the systems and technologies we integrate with

·       Driving mechanisms to ascertain business value

·       Ensuring best practice in acceptance criteria and Maintaining guidelines

·       Being the primary liaison for stakeholders

·       Issuing serious bug reports

·       Challenging the status quo and current thinking

·       Developing and reporting on KPIs, OKRs and meaningful flow metrics

·       Driving continuous improvement

·       Structuring and delivering honest, clear and effective feedback that supports development

·       Continuous learning and updating your knowledge

·       Assisting your team to:

o   Manage the roadmap

o   Refine & prioritise the product backlog

o   Liaise with customers and customer facing staff to understand requirements

 

Key skills and knowledge

 

·       Experience and understanding of agile methodologies, particularly the product owner role
