Role purpose and description
As a leading training company in the financial services sector, we deliver digital learning experiences to clients across the globe. As we continue to expand and enhance our digital learning capabilities, we are looking for a hands-on Product Manager to join an existing team and take on the responsibility for several digital products, platforms and services, managing their roadmaps and the development and delivery of new and improved features.
The Product Manager will work closely with business stakeholders, operational teams and delivery functions to gather insights and requirements, define solutions and deliver product enhancements that align with the organisations strategic objectives,
The role joins an existing product team reporting to the Head of Digital Learning and will work collaboratively with multiple departments, including Development, Content and the wider business operational and commercial teams.
Role Responsibilities
· Research and analysis
o Identify needs, issues and opportunities through research, analysis, market data and direct interaction with business teams, clients and end-users.
o Facilitate internal and external information gathering and ideation workshops
o Develop solutions and iterate product roadmaps, vision statements and prototypes.
o Generate product requirement specifications and business cases
o Assess market maturity by conduction regular competitor analysis and data insights.
o Articulate insights, solutions and roadmaps to senior leadership.
· Product development leadership
o Establish schedules and priorities for product delivery and work with project managers to define resourcing requirements.
o Develop and iterate backlogs, user stories and wireframes with the product, content, and development teams.
o Work with developers to build, test and release new product enhancements
o Work closely with stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient implementation of agreed product features.
o Document and communicate product capabilities and work with Sales and Marketing to develop product collateral.
o Meet delivery objectives by maintaining daily contact with the development team and escalating issues that arise.
· Stakeholder support
o Be the first point of contact for product-specific questions from business stakeholders.
o Produce collateral, training materials and support information to ensure that sales and operational teams are up to date with product capabilities and processes.
Role Requirements
· You will be an experienced Product Manager or Product Owner with 5-6 years’ experience within a global team, ideally within a commercial education provider.
· Experience of working in large multi-faceted software and content development projects.
· Experience conducting user research and transforming the analysis into solutions and recommendations.
· Adept at defining product capabilities and breaking these down into backlogs of well-formed user stories.
· Skilled at communicating to clients, stakeholders and end-users with varying levels of technical knowledge.
· Experienced negotiator with the ability to handle conflicting constraints.
· Strong attention to detail.
· Skilled problem solver.
· Financial qualification would be advantageous.
