Salesforce Product Manager

BASIC PURPOSE: The Salesforce Product Manager is responsible for consulting with the Love’s Family of Companies business units to identify and define CRM and Sales related business needs which require technology solutions to achieve business outcomes.  The Product Manager ensures projects and other enhancements align with the technology that provides the best practice and direct IT strategy in support of the overall business strategy. The Product Manager acts as a business consultant and a representative of business interests to IT to identify opportunities to attain operational efficiencies and growth opportunities. This role will lead a portfolio of projects while defining overall strategic roadmaps, product vision, and success outcomes

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage overall direction of multiple projects and initiatives within a business portfolio and ability to connect the inter-dependencies across portfolios.
Maintain relationships with IT, business units, and vendors to identify potential opportunities (projects, programs, other enhancements) to improve business operations, and deliver business outcomes.
Facilitates recurring meetings with collective business stakeholders to discuss prioritization of overall projects; Able to clearly articulate product and project roadmap including disposition of project requests.
Work with business units to clearly define success measures (value, ROI), KPI’s and metrics of project requests. Create accountability and ongoing evaluation demonstrating return and value.
Work closely with associate Product Owners within Business Units to define details of business-specific requests including process, minimum viable product and definition of done.
Serves as centralized resource to prioritize project requests across multiple business units.  Provides clear direction of project priorities to scrum team.
Maintains discipline in product vision and project priorities.  Minimizes shifts due to ad hoc business requests but effectively manages barriers and priority shifts as appropriate
Coordinate the delivery of solutions with impacted end-users, serving as central point of contact for feedback.
Attend all required Scrum ceremonies including:  Daily stand-up, sprint planning, grooming, sprint review/demo and retrospective.
Communicate clearly and frequently with Scrum team members, collaborate on design, lead demos, and as needed be able to train internal teams on new release features.
Provide appropriate direction to team on balancing of new feature development vs. enhancements vs. maintenance.
Able to present periodic updates to Executive and Senior Leadership demonstrating value propositions, road maps and success outcomes.
Engage with vendor Success Team to maintain collaborative working relationship.
Raise early awareness to leadership team of project requests with potential of additional expense – Licenses, Data, Managed Packages, etc.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Education:HS Diploma or equivalent required
Bachelors preferred
Experience:2+ years experience with Salesforce ServiceCloud and SalesCloud
5+ years experience that has served in multiple roles such as business analyst, program manager, process analyst, project manager, and/or business consultant.
SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Hard Skills:Experience working with an Agile/Scrum product development team, ideally in a Product Owner role
Ability to create detailed, thoughtful and actionable requirements including functional specifications, UI designs, workflow diagrams, etc.
Ideal candidate will be well organized, self-motivated, and a clear communicator no matter the circumstance
Experience with budgeting and estimation of product backlogs
Experience in roles where the candidate developed an ability to manage program-level portfolio workloads (multi-project scope)
Soft Skills:Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong time management and organization skills
Sense of urgency and keen attention to detail
Ability to work under tight deadlines
Typical Physical Demands:Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
Occasional evening/weekend work to meet deadlines.
