BASIC PURPOSE: In this role, you will lead the tactical implementation of product development as well as work with key users (internal and external) to define overall product requirements, vision and long-term strategic roadmaps. This position is an integral piece in Supply Chain Operations by connecting all internal and external users through a cohesive and collaborative platform. The Product Owner works closely with development team as part of an Agile development process (Scrum). The position represents the business on key objectives and decisions on the supplier collaboration portal known as Vendor Link and Vendor Insights.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to the following list):
VENDOR LINK/VENDOR INSIGHTS:
- Establish product vision and ensure all activities, enhancements, and movement of processes align accordingly
- Lead initiatives to enhance the overall user experience, interface, and process flow of business
- Lead successful upgrades, enhancements, and/or additional products related to Vendor Link and Vendor Insights
- Serve as first point of contact for all questions and issues
- Actively manage day to day functions such as training and onboarding new users, technical support, and issue resolution
PROCESS IMPROVEMENTS: - Establish and lead a strong vendor community for process improvements and development suggestions
- Lead initiatives in determining best approaches of gathering accurate data for both internal and external use within vendor portal
- Lead interconnectivity with supporting systems (Revionics Price & Promotion Optimization, JDA Space & Floor Planning, EDI eb2b, SAP Master Data Management, DAX/IM Inventory Management, Manthan Retail Analytics, etc.) for improved data flow and best business actions
Collaborate efforts with rest of Supply Chain and Category Management teams on enhancements that improve the decision making process
AGILE/SCRUM:
- Work closely with internal users, Vendors, and the Scrum team to define and prioritize the product backlog and product roadmap
- Attend all required Scrum meetings including: daily scrum, sprint planning, grooming, sprint review, retrospective
- Hold Scrum team accountable to their commitments and accept or reject the Scrum team’s work at the close of each sprint
- Establish success criteria for key product features using meaningful metrics
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Education:
- Bachelors degree required
- Focus in Analytics, Information Systems as well as Business or Supply Chain are preferred
Experience:
- Basic working knowledge of Tableau dashboard development and SQL code language a must.
- Experience working with an Agile/Scrum product development team in a Product Owner role a plus
- Proven ability to create detailed, thoughtful and actionable requirements including functional specifications, UI designs, workflow diagrams etc.
- Ideal candidate will be well organized, self-motivated, and a clear communicator no matter the circumstance
- Knowledge of industry trends, “best practices” and Six Sigma process improvements are a plus
