Our busy Propositions and Innovation (P&I) team is looking for people to help inspire the organisation and our customers to go ‘somewhere new’, by building a portfolio of next-generation services.
Join us as we transform OS, deliver sustainable growth and empower our customers to meet their goals. You will play a critical role in helping OS to realise its vision: to be recognised as world leaders in geospatial services; creating location insight for positive impact.
We are looking for a Product Manager to develop commercially viable propositions for future enhancements to our public sector services.
This pivotal role, in a small but busy product team focused on our public sector users, will help shape and deliver the OS product roadmap to support our ambition as a digital business providing customers and partners with relevant, services, products, data and experiences. This P&I team is at the heart of our business transformation, helping us realise our ambition and purpose as a world-leading geospatial data organisation.
You will define and deliver data products, services and platforms to fulfil user-centric propositions, balancing market demand, technical feasibility and affordability with a focus on great user experience. To achieve this, you will employ user-centred design, continuous customer engagement and market analysis.
You will act as an authority on customer priorities throughout the delivery process, setting a vision for the product and driving relevant feedback to inform continuous improvement.
What we’re looking for
You will likely be a self-starting professional with an interest in technology and data. You may have a background in digital platforms, data, software and services, whether for start-ups, large organisations or within the public sector, and are looking to take on a new challenge. Experience in or strong understanding of digital platforms or data science is also desirable but is not essential for this role.
To be the successful candidate you must demonstrate your track record against the following criteria in your application:
Strong experience of the techniques and methods of modern product discovery and product delivery.
Excellent skills in translating customer needs and market insight into a strategy and roadmap for future product development.
Excellent product ownership, with experience of championing your products and propositions internally and externally to ensure the execution of marketing communications, product-led investment programmes and sales engagement to achieve revenue targets.
Building and maintaining effective relationships with both operational and customer-facing colleagues and external partners to deliver product enhancements within expected service and revenue targets.
Good experience of user-centred design and driving engagement with key customers, partners and external stakeholders to ensure that product plans reflect a deep understanding of customer needs and market insights.
Commitment to relevant professional development and maintaining market understanding to continue to provide the appropriate support to the business.
Excellent data-driven decision making, using strong data interpretation and analytical skills.
Proven ability to engage with engineers, designers, and other stakeholders in a constructive and collaborative relationship.
