VouchedFor is one of the UK’s most exciting ‘fintech’ startups, backed by investors whose successes include Zoopla, eBay and Octopus Energy. We’ve grown 60% since March 2020 and are set to scale rapidly, as the review site for professional services. We make the product, but our communities make the experience. We bring together thousands of professional advisers, hundreds of thousands of satisfied clients, and millions of people needing great advice at the most important points in their lives. With the right dedication to customer feedback, rapid iteration and pioneering technology, our product has the power to literally land someone their dream home, access to their children, or a comfortable retirement.
Recently, and particularly relevant to this role, we’ve been piloting a transformational new product called ‘Safeguard’. It uses deep client insights and anlaysis to help advice firms improve client experience. Feedback so far has been fantastic!
About the role
We’re looking for an experienced Product Manager to take on and scale our established core products. You’ll be managing 3 products, serving both the 2 million consumers who use us every year to find or check an adviser, and the 3,300 advisers who use VouchedFor to build trust with their clients. You’ll be helping us to scale in the right way, iterating on our existing products and introducing new features where needed.
More specifically, you’ll be responsible for driving trust for B2C users (consumers who are looking for advice) through excellent search journeys, and helping our B2B users (advisers) build trust with their clients and prospects by habitually inviting and showcasing reviews.
Day to day you will be:
● Working closely with our developers as part of the wider Product & Tech team
● Collaborating with stakeholders to identify and analyse product and feature
● Creating and maintaining a Product Backlog and associated artefacts
● Working closely with stakeholders to prioritise and review Product Backlog Items
● Working with data to deliver insights to our stakeholders
A genuine desire to help people
We are a mission-driven business, so it’s important that you can demonstrate a strong desire to help people and improve their lives.
Collaborative and a great team player
We’ve built a great team of top performers, and you’ll need to work with others from across the business to identify problems, agree solutions and implement changes.
Goal driven and not afraid to get stuck in
We like to set ambitious goals and find creative ways to hit them, even if that means rolling up our sleeves and doing manual tasks before we’ve managed to fully automate them.
Good technical knowledge
You don’t need to be an expert computer coder, but familiarity with technology and software development practices is essential.
● 3+ years working in a product role
● Knowledge of the full product development process; from ideation to wireframing and technical build
● A solid understanding of what makes a great UX
● A good understanding of User Stories, Personas and User Journeys
● Basic understanding of SEO best practices
● Strong influence and collaboration skills
● Excellent communication skills
