Product Owner – HealthTech – Immediate Start

Full-Time United Kingdom Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 Closes: 2021-10-22

At EMIS our Product Owners have a vision of what features need to be designed and implemented to drive the quality of the products they look after so that we can continue to provide market leading software to the NHS and other partners.

As a Product Owner you’ll quickly understand the high level roadmaps from Product Managers and translate these into detailed plans for our engineering teams to build out. You’ll work closely and collaborate with our wider Product & Development teams to define stories and maintain a clear & streamlined backlog for the team to work from.

A key aspect of this role will be organisation and planning; you’ll often be working across cross functional teams with interdependencies and will therefore need to be regularly reviewing and prioritising work ensuring that everyone has clear milestones. In addition to this, you will be expected to understand and validate the work that our development teams do and be confident in either accepting the work, or actioning any changes. This is to ensure the highest quality and value gets to our users. Utilising your communication and stakeholder management skills we’d also like you to support our customers and end users by gathering feedback which you’ll then feed into the wider team, to ensure sprints are innovative, efficient and add value at every release.

This is a great opportunity for a Product Owner to come in and make a real difference within healthcare; every single change that you make as a PO influences our end product ensuring that great products are built,  which ultimately makes a difference to the life of both clinicians and patients.

What you’ll bring

Exceptional stakeholder management with the ability to engage and influence at all levels
Technical knowledge in relation to interoperability and backend technologies such as FHIR/ Microservices/API etc. would be beneficial
Experience and interest in working in the technology industry, a bonus if this is within healthtech
Any experience with backlog management tools such as ADO would be beneficial
