Join the reusa-bowl revolution
junee is starting the reusa-bowl revolution with a borrow-and-return system of takeaway packaging that employees can use for their workday lunch.

Why? The UK generates 11 billion pieces of packaging waste ****each year from lunch takeaway alone. And the problem is getting worse: more than half of all plastic in existence today was created after 2008.

We’re an early stage tech-for-good startup supported by Innovate UK, WeWork, Huckletree Alpha, Mayor of London, and Sustainable Ventures.

We’re on a mission to save 25 million single-use containers from going to landfill by 2025.

“How did we ever throw things away after just one use?” – You, 2030

Description
You’ll work directly with the founders to help us build our product from the MVP stage. You’re a generalist designer who can wear multiple hats: This means talking to customers, sketch UXs that look visually appealing, conducting usability testing, and effectively connecting business goals with product design. You’re open and excited about being part of early-stage startup culture, keen to build a Product team around you, and passionate about a reusa-bowl future!

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Here’s what you’ll be doing:

Product Vision and Leadership: You’ll be Product Hire #1. You’ll work closely with Co-Founders Mary & Caroline to not only design & build our product, but to play a vital role in defining our strategy by aligning our business & product KPIs.
Passion for UX, sustainable habit change, and our customers: You should be deeply curious about how to design a user experience involving both digital and physical products. You should be passionate about solving the reusable challenge and understand customer-centricity is a crucial component. You’ll spend time talking, meeting, and learning about our end users, company partners, restaurant partners, and all others required to make the reusable future a success!
Experimenting & Implementing: You will consistently develop new ideas and hypotheses and then run experiments to test them. You’re curious about continually seeking validation from the userbase to test hypotheses and refine product initiatives. You’ll work with founders to prioritise product initiatives based on customer & business impact and bring them to market quickly.
Jack/Jill of All Trades: You’ll take the lead in all types of design jobs, including Product Wireframes, User Interface, Brand Identity, Landing Pages, Mobile App, Social Posts, Sales& Investor Presentations, and more! We’ll look for leadership on how we should set up our design processes & hiring others to support you.

You are a good fit if you…

Passionate about making a positive change to the planet by helping people make sustainability part of their everyday lives
Have 4+ years Product Design experience, ideally with at least 2+ years working in an early-stage environment
Experience in human-centered design, working across physical and digital products, especially in areas where behaviour change is required
Excited to tackle the unknown and ready to handle the pressure of a growing start-up. You’ll be your own Product Manager, defining what needs to be built, define success metrics, and defining scope for developers.
Strong self-starter, able to set and meet your own deadlines, work independently, and look critically at your own work and handle design feedback from non-designers.
