About the Job
Product Leadership: The candidate must be able to provide strong leadership on multiple simultaneous projects related to the platform. Leadership will involve the effective management of resources, the day-to-day management of project milestones, and the mentorship of junior team members.
Concept Innovation: The candidate is tasked with contributing to the innovation and improvement of the business product as well managing the day-to-day product development activities in such a way that ensures that the product is constantly growing to suit stakeholder needs. In this capacity, the candidate is essentially responsible for identifying opportunities that lead to the growth of the product through innovation while still maintaining the fundamental business goals and priorities.
Collaboration: The role is of a cross-functional nature and this implies a high level of collaboration with different departments and different levels. The candidate partners with other product departmental leaders in order to align and execute product strategies and ensure that each department receives the right level of support due from its colleagues.
About You
Must have strong people skills; management experience strongly preferred
Must possess strong business acumen and have experience using data in decision making
Highly self-sufficient and motivated
Extremely organized and able to handle multiple projects at once
Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts to audiences of various levels
Ability to remain customer focused with a passion for delighting customers and offering unique solutions that exceed expectations
Ability to reach well-reasoned solutions and solve problems through a thoughtful process of analyzing data
The product manager will be responsible for all student and faculty facing tools on the Akademos Portal as as select related tools (e.g. Campus Pick Up Tool). These tools are the heart of what is exposed to over 500,000 students and tens of thousands of faculty members each term and comprise a key part of Akademos course materials platform ecosystem
A successful candidate will be highly analytical and able to work effectively in a matrix environment. The position also requires that the occupier be adept at synthesizing various technologies and capabilities into the business’s products in such a way that clients (internal and external) will love.

Travel: 10% or less
