The eCommerce Engineering Team is one of the teams of DPI. In close cooperation with the business divisions eCommerce D2C & Merchandise we create a virtual merch-world for our customers. We are responsible for the technical conception and execution of web-products, and the eCommerce space. Our tasks lie within the development and maintenance of the web shop and backend systems, the programming of interfaces (APIs) as well as the creation of websites, website tracking, SEO and data privacy mechanisms.

Here’s your chance to join! We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager (all genders) to become part of our Digital Products & Innovation team at our Headquarters in Berlin. It will be a permanent full-time position.

 

Your tasks:

  • You work as a Senior Product Manager for the eCommerce products; you are responsible for product discovery as well as product delivery
  • You will enhance our user-centric approach in order for us to fully understand our users’ needs and deliver a world-class experience for them; you identify potential business cases and propose your solutions in cooperation with the product team
  • You are the link between the product team, the stakeholders and the users
  • You are responsible for the product vision and strategy; you create a product roadmap and present it to the Beats & Bytes board regularly
  • You prioritize tasks and communicate those priorities to the product team; thereby you take the eCommerce strategy and the needs of the users into account – as product manager you focus on the “What?” and the team on the “How?”
  • You translate challenges and opportunities into user stories and apply those to coordinate the product team’s work
  • Together with the product design team you organize and facilitate workshops, e.g., story mapping, design sprints etc., and are able to assist the team in the ideation process
  • You always have an eye on user-support and make sure it has the utmost quality
  • You are an active member of the product management community of practice
  • You share your know-how, e.g., in the form of trainings, presentations or workshops, which you prepare yourself

 

Your professional profile:

  • You have a degree in economic science, management, product management or another relevant field
  • You have long-time experience as a product manager or principal product manager in the eCommerce sector
  • You’ve already contributed to the conception of digital D2C products
  • You possess an analytical mindset always striving to back up your ideas and cases with numbers
  • You are able to communicate efficiently in a tech as well as business related context and are experienced in acting as the link between product teams and business within the eCommerce sector
  • You stand out positively if you have experience in project management
  • You feel confident and natural reading, writing and speaking English; German skills are a plus
  • You bring along UI/UX experience and have an eye for aesthetics and design; therefore, it is easy for you to display information graphically
  • You are familiar with design sprints, design thinking and agile methods and have gained profound experience in applying these methods
