Product Manager

Now a Vonage Company, Nexmo is the emerging leader in the $100B+ cloud communications platform (CPaaS) market. Customers like Airbnb, Viber, Whatsapp, Snapchat and many others depend on our APIs and SDKs to connect with their customers all over the world.

As a Product Manager, you will work with the product and engineering teams in defining and refining the RTC product.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage the product backlog and attend Scrum standups and grooming sessions

  • Interpret and document new product feature requests from commercial areas of the business including Vonage R&D

  • Help develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates Nexmo RTC SDK’s in a crowded market place

  • Assist in planning the go to market strategy of new products and releases (across IOS, Android and Javascript) and help manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan

  • Assist in formulating the strategy, concepts, product requirements and use cases for WebRTC

  • Actively collaborate with Product, Engineering, Operations, Finance & Legal colleagues to design and implement the best solution to achieve business goals

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Computer Science or Engineering (must have)

  • Demonstrable examples of experience designing or using APIs and WebRTC SDK’s as a developer in academic or startup environments

  • Knowledge of the WebRTC  stack across various platforms (iOS, Android or Javascript)

  • Exposure to or knowledge of an agile development environment (either Kanban or Scrum)

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with staff, colleagues and cross-functional teams

  • Ability to distill broad concepts and business strategies into structured product plans

  • Demonstrable examples of driving change and influencing others both internally and externally (e.g. partners, relevant industry forums etc.)
