JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for a Director of Product Management with strong domain expertise in online performance advertising to bring innovative and effective solutions to market for one or more of our products. Collaborating with key internal and external customers along with the development teams, the Director of Product Management will be responsible for helping to define market needs and requirements, and prioritizing solutions into product releases.
The successful candidate will have a proven product management track record delivering market leading performance advertising solutions and will understand ad serving technologies, ad operations processes, optimization techniques, machine learning/artificial intelligence algorithms, and user acquisition models.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Serve as the market expert, engaging with internal and external customers to identify market needs and opportunities
- Analyze competitive offerings and potential partnership opportunities related to the product offerings
- Working with department heads and the development teams, determine the product’s business requirements, technical considerations, and KPI objectives
- Prioritize items on the product roadmap to achieve product goals while balancing feature, resource and timeline tradeoffs
- Collaborate closely with development teams through all stages of the product development
- Lead and coordinate product rollout efforts with marketing, sales, account management and other client facing teams to ensure customer enablement and adoption is seamless and timely
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years of software product management experience, ideally managing ad tech solutions or related spaces
- Technical background in data science, software development or engineering and ability to engage with engineers on complex topics
- Demonstrated experience in gathering and transforming business requirements into a successful product strategy
- Understanding of direct marketing funnels and lifetime value models
- Strong domain expertise in one or more areas of real-time ad exchanges such as DSP, DMP, SSP, etc. is a strong plus
- Ability to manage geographically dispersed teams is essential
- Exceptional critical thinking & analytical skills with the ability to make informed decisions related to product design and direction
- Solid problem solving skills, anticipating and mitigating barriers to success
- Strong organizational skills and excellent written and oral communication skills
- Robust project management skills, with the ability to coordinate resources to tight schedules
- Outstanding teamwork and diplomatic skills to coordinate activities among multiple disciplines towards a single goal
- Proven ability to set & deliver on product vision and commitments
- Bachelors’ degree in a technical discipline preferred
- Experience with agile development methodologies such as Scrum
