Role Profile

OUR OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a strong design generalist with a specialty in technical product design to bring a discipline of business thinking and design thinking to Six Factor’s products and services, which includes:

  1. Our proprietary suite of branded software products
  2. Tailored client versions of those software products
  3. A collection of business consulting products
  4. A curriculum of education and learning products

A key feature of this role is its transdisciplinary nature: you will need to know a little bit of everything, but as part of a larger team you may not have to do everything on your own. You need to have the ability to bring design innovation and critical thinking skills to the table to guide our company’s momentum forward.

As our successful candidate you will work closely with and report to the Director of Business Innovation to identify, progress, and support value-add design solutions using our core product set and business services.

Technical requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in product design, application design, or UX-UI design
  • A Bachelor of Design in Visual Communication, or equivalent degree
  • Proficient in UX-UI Design, Interaction Design (IxD), and Human-Computer Interaction (HCI)
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud applications, particularly XD, Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator
  • Competent in the Google Workspace environment, and graphics experience with Slides and Docs

Skills, competencies, and capabilities

  • Ability to research and understand target users to support project feasibility and product strategy
  • Capacity to lead user testing exercises, contribute to user guides, and run client training sessions
  • Familiarity with content design and copywriting for UX, icon labels, button CTAs, and user flow text
  • Experience with sound, animation and motion graphics software, particularly Adobe After Effects
  • Understanding of video editing and production software, particularly Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Awareness of website development and design principles, and familiarity with html and coding
  • Know how to craft keywords and descriptions for Google Analytics and Search Engine Optimization

Responsibilities

Your ability to operate effectively in our key areas will set you up for success so that you feel empowered to deliver in the context of your role.

Technical – You have skills in material design and UX-UI, including:

  • Concept, design and production of mockups and prototypes for enterprise software products
  • Familiarity with PDLC, information architecture, user journeys, and wireframes
  • Basic understanding of how code works, how to understand the feasibility of a project, and how to talk with developers and give them the right feedback

Creative – You have skills in graphic design and brand management, including:

  • Business deliverables, education packages, and promotional materials
  • Familiarity with campaign design and how to support ongoing sales and marketing plans
  • Basic understanding of illustration, video production, and animation used to visualize product workflows, training labs, and enhance promotions

Your successful application

Commitment
