The Cuvva Culture and Values

We don’t cut corners. We try to do the right thing, even when that makes life more difficult for us 👩‍💻

Being customer centric means everyone in every area of the business – including our CEO, Freddy – spends a few hours a month on customer support. This helps us fully understand our customers’ needs and how the app works. Here’s a blog post on our ‘COps Club’  👀

We’ll speak up when we have an idea – but we know when to let go and get behind something else 💡

And we’re comfortable giving and receiving honest feedback, and trying new ways of doing things. It’s the Cuvva way.

We’re building a diverse team with different backgrounds, outlooks and experiences. So we give everyone a fair chance of getting a role at Cuvva.

If you need any adjustments or support when you’re applying to Cuvva, no worries. Just let us know.

The role is part of a growing, agile research team. You will be working on a product that is being used by 500,000+ customers, closely collaborating with product, design, data science and marketing teams. A deep passion for creating amazing experiences for customers is essential. You will be working on the gradual improvements of the existing features as well as on exploration of new opportunities.

You’ll do great here if you:

• Have 3+ years of relevant professional user research experience
• Have significant expertise in mixed-methods research where you identified people’s problems and needs to inform the development of new features
• Hold a degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Anthropology, Behavioural Science, Statistics, Psychology, Social Science, or or the equivalent in years of professional experience
•Are a dedicated advocate of a user-centric approach to product development and able to balance it with business strategy and objectives
• Are comfortable with metrics and A/B tests, and are able to synthesise quantitative data with qualitative user research
• Have a well developed toolkit for helping stakeholders develop deep empathy with the customers, and have great interpersonal skills where you can easily collaborate with others
• Can easily shift back and forth between startup scrappiness and methodological rigour
• Experience from a B2C scale-up and/or background in behavioural science is a plus

On a day-to-day basis you will:

• Define, plan, and conduct user research using both quantitative and qualitative research methods
• Create compelling, actionable research insights and communicate them across the company
• Proactively create and (dis)prove hypothesis that will underline an evidence-based product and design decisions
• Identify new opportunities which Cuvva should act upon to deliver delightful and inspiring experiences
• Take a holistic view of our understanding of our users, and proactively identify gaps and behavioural insights that will fuel new research projects
• Be trusted advisor for all aspects of research for design, product, and marketing teams
• Help build and scale the user research function by mentoring and helping Cuvva’s non research stakeholders to conduct high quality, light touch research
• Establish and maintain a culture of rigour and data curiosity to drive tangible business impact
