Product Manager – Docufree DocumentCloud

The Docufree Product Manager will gather market data to assist in defining new capabilities and product offerings. The position involves close interaction with sales, marketing, development engineers, key customers, and partners. A successful candidate will have extensive product and program management experience including use-case development, requirements documentation, and project management on large-scale preferably with document/content management solutions. Candidate will develop effective client customer relationships, balance daily support needs with long-term strategy, and successfully combine vision and reality into effective product plans. Must possess a demonstrated ability to work successfully in a matrixed organization with multiple customers/owners.

Key responsibilities are to:

-Manage the product throughout its lifecycle from concept to end-of-life.

-Drive action throughout the organization to get products to market.

-Plan and carry out product launches.

-Work with product development on documenting and finalizing functional specifications.

-Make feature, schedule, and cost tradeoffs as product nears completion.

-Create Product Requirements Documents and presentations that clearly articulate the functional requirements of new products or improvements and new capabilities of existing products. This includes establishing the priorities of the requirements with supporting business analysis.

-Review product defects and strategize how to overcome them for maximum customer satisfaction.

-Run trials and MVPs, develop and deliver go to market launch plans.

-Manage product profitability and commercial success – own the business case,

-Provide insight to stakeholders on the product and market.

-Track and manage releases.

-Participate in daily meetings, planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

-Develop positioning and messaging to differentiate products in the market.

-Subject matter expert working with Marketing to create collateral and sales tools that support the selling process.

Preferred Skills
-In-depth understanding of enterprise software applications and experience with customers in the market.

-Project and program management skills and ability to prioritize are essential.

-Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills are required.

-Ability to research, analyze and understand the market and competitors is required.

-Strong technical background in software development and internet technologies (Web applications, Java, Web Services).

-A deep understanding of the requirements associated with building highly available and scaleable cloud SW solutions.

-5+ years of software marketing/product management experience.

-Some familiarity with Atlassian products: Jira and Confluence, SCRUM software development methodologies such as Agile.
