Full-Time United Kingdom Salary: £100,000 - £120,000

Infogrid is helping protect the planet and improve the lives of billions of people by making every building a smart building.

Our goal is to be the global provider for connected devices in smart buildings. We already handle millions of events every day from tens of thousands of sensors and we’d like you to help us scale that by an order of magnitude over the coming months.

Sustainability is at our heart; buildings account for 39% of global carbon emissions and we’re creating real solutions to impact this!

We are still early in our journey but have already achieved a lot; we raised a successful series A funding round, grew 5x in employee numbers within 12 months, and voted one of the top 10 most flexible places to work.

As a Head of Product, you are accountable for the Experience/Platform product group (made up of 3-7 product squads): translating business vision into tangible product strategy and OKRs (12 months scope) and driving its successful execution to impact business results.

Infogrid’s platform group brings together multiple cross functional squads each building a core part of our infrastructure to enable the experience team to quickly extend existing use cases and build new suites of product functionality. The platform team are directly responsible for our data lake, events subsystem processing millions of events every day, our alerting subsystems and other core building blocks of the product. The technical nature of this team means you will be comfortable working with very technical requirements.

Infogrid’s experience group brings together multiple cross functional squads, each building a product that we sell to our customers, and taking responsibility for business outcomes (product P&L and usage). The experience team builds on the core functionality from the platform team to deliver integrated solutions used by our customers. Examples of products currently built on the Infogrid platform are the Healthy Building System, Smart Maintenance and Energy Monitoring.

As a group leader, your role is to set and align group vision, instil purpose, enable autonomy, develop people and cultivate inclusion at the group level. You will directly manage a team of product managers and determine the optimal structure for the team.  You will coach more junior product managers and engage in problem-solving (e.g., prioritisation, potential solutions) with them.  We strive for our people to be inspired, feel safe and be fulfilled by the work they do.

You need to be strong at prioritisation and driving alignment within your group as well as across groups / departments to achieve common business and people goals.  You will need to build and nurture strong working relationships at all levels within Infogrid, and with our clients and partners, and use communication skills to convince and motivate others. You will specifically work closely with your peers in engineering, data science and design to direct the product teams; as well as with Sales and Marketing to ensure the product’s commercial success. You will bring best product practices to develop, improve or optimise processes in your group and gain buy-in across product teams.
