What’s the role?
Providing vision for changes to your product – for sprints and the longer term roadmap
Defining opportunities which provide the right product market fit
Leading workshops with development teams to define a value led backlog / delivery roadmap
Helping the team to create and maintain a single backlog, with appropriate level of detail, which delivers value incrementally
Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to set priorities
Ensuring that work commitments are visible to, and made by the development team
Reassessing value of discovered detail during changes
Communicating to stakeholders regarding updates, changes, and timescales
Supporting the development team in pursuing excellence in engineering and quality
Working with our customer by;
Empathizing and making their lives easier through good UX which saves them time
Balancing the demands of support, new features and engineering excellence and reflecting that in the value delivered
Helping to define opportunities to solve their problems
Being clear about if/when their interests may be met
Sharing development progress and getting feedback
Working with BeyondTrust by;
Develop product, user, market, and competition expertise in your areas of responsibility.
Helping the team to create and maintain a single backlog, with appropriate level of detail, which delivers value incrementally
Being open and honest about what is in the backlog and where
Communicate progress to stakeholders, set realistic expectations
Landing change effectively by contributing to scheduling, training, and documentation
What experience should I have?
You have at least 3 years of experience as a Product Owner, preferably within the computer software field (our products are specialised in Privilege Access Management)
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage, influence, negotiate and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders with often conflicting priorities and requirements
You are self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment. You love to constantly learn and keep abreast of your niche
You can clearly articulate business needs into specific tasks that development teams need to work on
Ability to bring new product ideas to life based on your connection with the companies long-term strategic goals
You are an champion for Agile Scrum methodologies and coach teams to adopt and innovate effective processes
Degree or equivalent in a business or IT related discipline or equivalent professional experience in a software development environment.
