Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?
You will work on the VMware Tanzu Labs App Services team helping customer product teams:
Design and deliver modern, mission-critical, cloud-native applications
Modernise existing legacy applications
Empower clients and teammates to drive the same impact themselves
Facilitate a culture of constant feedback, integrity, and innovation
Navigate complex organisational systems and technical architectures
At VMware, success in a Senior Product Management role means for you to:

As a Product Manager, daily life at Tanzu Labs will have you doing many of the following:
Collaborate/Pair daily with client Product Managers, Product Owners, and stakeholders to solve complex problems in uncertain environments, using a combination of their domain knowledge and your skills. Coach customers on our approach all along the way!
Help your team understand the underlying strategy and problems as you collaborate on solutions.
Write user stories and prioritise them in a backlog. Keep your team informed and productive.
Be a crucial member of a team dedicated to helping a single customer achieve their goals. Build, modernise, and launch custom software with and for our customers.
Advocate for modern best practices including Lean, Agile and User Centered Design in enterprise environments.
Perform research, brainstorm solutions, and help guide product direction. Balance opportunities and business needs while keeping stakeholders aligned and supportive.
Support consumer facing or internal go-to-market launches of new products.
Facilitate software demos, stakeholder check ins, and other key meetings virtually or in-person.
Collaborate with Designers and Software Engineers to find simpler ways to meet the needs of our customer’s users and business.
Work with client leadership to build and maintain a healthy Product Management team.
Influence product decisions across multiple teams to achieve outcomes at scale.
Learn new skills and grow in your own career while contributing learnings back to others in our Product Management practice so we can all grow and thrive together.

The hiring manager for this role is Liam Darmody, a Product Management Delivery Lead for the EMEA App Services team at VMware Tanzu Labs. Liam believes possibilities can be unlocked in every team and every product. The EMEA App Services team is organised around three main offices in London, Paris and Berlin. This role is aligned to the Berlin office but open to hybrid / remote across the various locations.
