JOB HIGHLIGHT

You’ll drive efforts with engineering, design, and other stakeholders to create great digital experiences on charitywater.org that delight donors while significantly improving core business metrics and demonstrating our commitment to transparency.

JOB SUMMARY

charity: water is seeking a Growth Product Manager with a history of successfully driving customer acquisition, retention, and engagement. Rather than owning a specific product or flow, you will be responsible for improving specific business metrics by identifying opportunities across the platform. This may mean optimizing acquisition funnels to increase conversion one quarter, while improving the donor dashboard and driving peer-to-peer referrals the next quarter. You’ll partner with stakeholders across the organization to understand our different donor audiences, and will work closely with our Creative, Marketing, and Engineering teams to build engaging experiences that grow our donor base and expand our impact.

YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR…

You’ll own strategy, roadmap, and delivery of key growth product initiatives targeted at improving a range of driving metrics.
You’ll drive execution for these initiatives, communicate the “whys”, write user stories, and prioritize the backlog.
You’ll define project metrics and ROI goals for initiatives, track performance after delivery and will communicate product performance regularly with stakeholders.
You’ll partner with Marketing to decrease acquisition costs, increase LTV, and develop relevant upsell opportunities.
You’ll partner with our Data team to derive insights on customer behavior and will leverage those insights to improve the donor experience.
You’ll partner with Finance to project how product initiatives will contribute to overall business goals.

YOU MUST HAVE…

2-4 years of B2C product management experience
Experience going through a full product lifecycle, integrating data, metrics, and customer feedback into product requirements, driving prioritization and pre/post-launch execution
Understanding of software testing methodologies and software development lifecycle process
Knowledge of A/B testing design and execution
Familiarity with web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Looker, Amplitude, etc)
Previous experience building strategic plans and roadmaps, prioritized against organizational goals
Strong interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to work well cross-functionally
The desire and ability to be thrifty, innovative and adaptive

IT’S AN ADDED PLUS IF YOU HAVE…

Experience with subscription-based business models and a strong understanding of their driving metrics

YOU’LL BE SUCCESSFUL IF…

You get things done

You take initiative and don’t have a problem getting your hands dirty or diving into complex problems. You follow through on every task, no matter how big or small, and when duty calls you take matters into your own hands. You live for hitting deadlines and understand the importance of keeping on schedule and on budget. You know how to bring people together and get things done.

You’re obsessed with goals and metrics

You love chasing after goals and solving problems. You only want to do things that move the needle and are comfortable shutting things down if they’re not aligned with our goals or values. You know attention to detail is essential regardless of whether anyone is watching and you strive for excellence in everything you do. When you present numbers, you’ve got context and math to back them up.

You are a hard worker and you have team spirit

You thrive in a fast-paced environment with people that are constantly looking to innovate, enjoy challenges and demand excellence. We’re a small and efficient staff; every person plays an essential role in the organization. You’re excited to work cross-functionally with other departments. You enjoy working with others to reach common goals and objectives.
