A large tech company is building the next generation of its Learning and Career Development platform for its employees. This project includes understanding business needs, users motivations and industry trends and coming up with innovative solutions to create a delightful experience for the users.

 

Role Description

We are seeking a UX Researcher to conduct research studies to support design and development of new internal products. This role will plan and execute a variety of research: usability studies, interviews, surveys, etc. The researcher will work with the UX research lead, UX Designers, Product Managers and Program managers to plan and conduct the research, and to communicate the results to stakeholders.

 

Job Responsibilities

Partner closely with research leads, design leads, product management leads, and engineering leads to prioritize research questions
Preparing user research activities (working with the recruiters to schedule study sessions, set up the usability lab, etc.).
Planning, observing and moderating concept testing, usability study sessions and interviews.
Taking notes during user study sessions, analyzing qualitative data.
Interviewing primary user groups and developing personas and user journeys
Creating reports (including creating graphs, slide decks, etc.).
Communicating findings from the study to the product team and stakeholders.
Advocate for research findings to diverse audiences through written reports and oral presentations.

 

Minimum Requirements

Master’s degree in organizational psychology, human factors, human computer interaction, cognitive science, experimental psychology, information science or related field.
2-3 years’ experience leading product focused UX research.
Ability to ramp up quickly in a technical and complicated product space
Can prioritize time between multiple projects, and adapt to changing schedules and different tasks.
Ability to work on overlapping projects, prioritize efforts and organize oneself.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
Ability to distill findings into concise insights and engage and excite stakeholders about research.
Strong understanding of strengths and shortcomings of multiple different research methods, including when and how to apply them during each product phase.
Detail-oriented and ability to work fairly independently on a variety of tasks.
Knowledge about Learning and Development industry is a plus
