Your role in helping us shape the future:

You will be involved in establishing, building and ultimately growing a brand new vertical at U.S. News focused on helping consumers explore and make decisions about their careers. As one of the founding members of this team, you’ll be a key player in a fast-growing organization that is goal-oriented and building a brand new category for a storied brand.

The primary responsibility of the Product Manager, Careers will be to work hand in hand with our VP of Careers to define, build and own our initial online product suite from the ground up. To do this well, you’ll need to be an excellent collaborator, communicator, and creative thinker.

Are you up to the challenge?

Be a thought partner and collaborator to the VP of Careers
Translate business strategy into product strategy. Define and own the product roadmap.
Develop wireframes to test assumptions and hypotheses with potential users and customers
Ensure all product requirements are thorough, thought-through, intuitive, easy to use, timely, and visually successful. Launch new and existing products such as Best Jobs.
Provide end to end project management, and closely collaborate with relevant internal teams at US News including Engineering, UX, SEO, Editorial and Business Intelligence, as well as external partners
Be involved in sourcing data, and a thought partner in methodology creation
Develop and own KPIs for all products
Develop and document processes for your work
Work closely with editorial teams to support a content strategy for the careers vertical

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
You are a great fit for this role if you have some or all of the following:

3+ years of professional experience in a product environment
Experience with the full product life-cycle from ideation to go-to-market
Been involved in initiatives involving cross functional teams
Experience in project management and stakeholder management
Get excited about solving problems
Have strong oral and written communication skills
Are empathetic and can understand our users and customers mindsets and needs
Hungry to build something from the ground up and take ownership for a digital product suite
Are detail oriented, organized and have strong management skills
It would be nice if you had:

Experience in JIRA or other product development tracking tools.
Experience with consumer facing websites
An understanding of SEO
