Süddeutsche Zeitung Digitale Medien GmbH (SZDM) is the digital hub of Süddeutsche Zeitung. In addition to the website, we manage all of the company’s mobile offerings and apps.

Your Responsibilities

  • You investigate the needs of our customer identification SZ.id and deliver (valuable) features and improvements with your cross-functional team
  • You translate the company vision into tangible product features that solve customers’ needs
  • You identify the most important priorities and manage these
  • You care deeply about how the service’ ease of use from a customer’s perspective while being aligned with the overall business
  • You lead cross-team product initiatives using the service and find the product sweet spot for various applications
  • You contribute to other teams’ and partners’ integrations of your ID service by aligning expectations and delivering the product
  • You work with the ID and Pay team on new features, specification is a team effort

Your Profile

  • You are an experienced technical product person
  • You have worked in a cross-functional product team, ideally across multiple teams
  • You are comfortable in discussing technical solutions with your team
  • You have a knack for explaining complex technical matters to less technical peers and stakeholders
  • You have a passion for product excellence
  • You have measured the success of your products across large product families and releases
  • German language skills of at least B1
  • Hands-on software development skills are a plus
