Intro to Folia
At Folia Health, our mission is to build a 360-degree view of every patient – to enable better care, better evidence for new therapies, and a more patient-driven healthcare system. So far, we’ve done this by making it simple for individuals to hold a complete view of their health, centered on their own high-resolution, “notebook” observations, in a single, actionable platform that they own and can share. We work alongside pharmaceutical, biotech, and research organizations that rely upon high-resolution evidence to power their operations on both the R&D and commercial sides of the fence.
Our Folia users capture their observations, opt-in to participate in home-based trials and tailored therapy-specific programs, give permission for links to outside data sources like EHRs, and can always view and use a complete set of all the data they’ve ever collected in Folia. In this way, Folia enables individuals to see a clear view of their own progress and contribute to the development of the next generation of medicine – in one place, from their own home. (We like to call this first-of-its kind system a Health – Individual Operating System, or Health – IOS.)
In summary, at Folia, we are enabling precision healthcare, with a little help from the people who care most. We believe patients and their families have the power to transform care.

Job Description
We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to work directly alongside company leadership to take our early-stage product team to the next level. So far, Folia’s product team has been engineering-led, and we’re excited to establish a formal product management function with this role. You’ll have a ton of room to make your mark on our high-impact organization, starting out with the spearheading of an initiative to revamp our user registration and onboarding process. Alongside the other members of the product team, you will set a course to realize the potential of our team’s dream product: a single source of truth for each individual who is living with a complex chronic disease, to drive better, more precise care for all.
You’ll be joining our team as one of 20 new hires in 2022. You’ll be working directly with Nell, our CEO, and Dan, our CTO. While we’d love to see you in our new Boston office on team days (two days per week), we’re also open to fully remote if you’re a great match.
You will be responsible for managing the three primary user-facing facets of the Folia platform, with assistance from the executive team when helpful. Principally, this will include: (1) establishing clear lines of communication with members of our internal team who interface with clients & users, and the engineering team; (2) managing the product development roadmap and sprint cadence; (3) making decisions regarding the prioritization of key components of the product; and (4) managing external design resources.
As you’ve probably gathered by now, you will have a significant level of responsibility, as the first person on our team to be fully devoted to product management. If you’re jazzed about the possibility of becoming an integral member of a fast-growing startup with a double bottom-line, you’re probably a good fit.

Demonstrated ability to take responsibility for a full product or major product feature, with positive results (please include portfolio or samples)
Comfort with Agile methodologies & managing sprint cadence
Strong point-of-view on framework or methods for prioritizing & structuring product development resources in a small-team environment
Interest in significant responsibility at an early-stage company
Desire to have the space to manage a high-impact, first-of-its-kind product the way that it should be done
Quantitative skill-set and ability to utilize large internal datasets to inform product decisions
Strong written and oral communication skills
(Nice-to-have) Previous experience as a product manager for consumer-facing mobile applications
(Nice-to-have) Personal, family, or other close experience with a chronic or complex disease
Environment
We currently have an office in Cambridge, MA and our team works remote and in-person based on their individual preference.
Compensation
Competitive salary based on experience
