Product Designer – Luxury Fashion Start-up
ABOUT THE ROLE
THEFLOORR.COM is an innovative start-up building a luxury fashion platform driven by the shop floor community. We are looking for an experienced Product Designer to join our hybrid remote/London-based team to drive the next exciting stage of our product development.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for our first full-time Product Designer who will be involved in all stages of the product development lifecycle, from understanding the business challenges, to shaping the entire end to end experience for our users. We want to find someone with a clear understanding of the luxury fashion market and a commitment to delivering outstanding user experiences of the quality that our users demand.
RESPONSIBILITIES
We are looking for someone to:
Understand business requirements and help guide the product strategy that will enable the business to meet its objectives.
Champion user needs and ensure they remain at the forefront of our product thinking.
Explore and communicate design concepts using wireframes, mock-ups and interactive prototypes.
Conduct research to validate our assumptions and test design proposals.
Coordinate UI design to ensure that the end-product is as beautiful as it is usable.
Collaborate closely with the engineering team to ensure that we deliver a first-class customer experience, while being understanding, mindful and pragmatic about engineering constraints.
Elicit and analyse user feedback to feed into a process of continuous improvement that is always striving to enhance the user experience.
SKILLS
Strong demonstrable experience in the design and delivery of successful consumer-facing web and mobile products.
An interest, and ideally experience, in fashion retail and understanding the needs of luxury customers.
Excellent UX skills, with a strong understanding of user research, information architecture, wireframing, interaction design, visual design, and prototyping.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a clear ability to articulate design decisions.
Experience working collaboratively and cross-functionally with engineers, stakeholders and marketing.
Comfortable working within a small fast-growing team.
