Why this role exists
Reporting to the Head of Product, you will help plan and deliver impactful experiences for our customers and assistants. In collaboration with your team, you will drive company growth through focusing on customer happiness–and help retain users by developing innovative and necessary product features. You will have a tremendous impact in helping to define the product vision.
Requirements
4+ years of product management, in consumer or B2B software applications
2+ years of product management experience in a startup environment
Experience working with marketplaces (or relevantly aligned space)
Outcomes
You will understand user needs and pain points
You will work with design, engineering, operations, and other departments to develop and ship new product features
You will clearly articulate Product’s strategy, roadmap, and feature development to the company in a clear and concise way
You will set up an environment that executes and gets data quickly
Skills
You can align priorities across different (contradictory) stakeholders
You can cut down features or change course quickly to achieve the bigger picture
You can break down a complex problem and simplify it enough to scope an MVP
You have a high affinity/experience with design-forward products
You have excellent communication skills that transcend remote boundaries and cultures
Qualities
You are an expert at 1-2 specific areas (e.g. APIs, user experience, mobile development) but are a voracious learner in other areas that you are interested in
You are practical and not beholden to ‘your’ ideas or a rigid way of thinking
You are humble and willing to teach and work with others
You are creative and take inspiration from all areas of your life to bring them into your work
In the first 90-days
You will document the customer journey of our clients and workers
You will scope and ship 2 user-facing features
You will create a 12-month roadmap for your product area
You will create a metrics dashboard for your product area
