Perhaps you are a Product Manager, looking for a step up into more responsibility?

Do you want to help roll out and further develop a tech-for-good, precision medicine SaaS platform?

Have you run a product team or owned a significant complex feature?

Then this role could be right for you…

The Role:

As Head of Product, you will lead Zetta’s Product team in Cambridge, reporting to the CEO. You’ll work in close cooperation with our Engineering, Bioinformatics and Quality & Regulatory Teams to create a company-wide strategic product roadmap to deliver our Company vision, as well as help define our product lifecycle and delivery processes.

You’ll be overseeing our Quality and Regulation Manager. As well as leading our Project Managers through mentoring to ensure a consistent approach and that standards are adhered to.

You will lead development from a product perspective, and drive our transition to a more strategic, market-led approach.

Your initial focus will be researching and identifying market fit, to establish how we will target customers, identifying the common USPs that we are offering and how can we translate that into sales. You will also be involved in supporting our CCO from a Product in pre-sales meetings to help secure new partnerships.

You’ll create and own the company product roadmap for all of our offerings, as well as define and monitor the relevant Product OKRs, including; product documentation, establishing a list of certified needs that meet customer requirements, ensuring our product attains CA and CE marking, and championing our product launch.

You will work to establish effective and efficient working practices and processes for driving product innovation. You’ll work with leaders in the business across all departments, identifying where the priorities lie.

You will spearhead product thinking across all of the business by delivering regular training company-wide, demonstrating new features, product enhancements, and new ideas to all stakeholders.

Requirements:
As Head of Product, you will need to have successfully scaled and managed enterprise-level cloud based SaaS products, preferably in a regulated environment, ideally, although not essential, related to genomic medicine/bioinformatics.

You’ll have either run or have been part of a Product from the early start-up phase through to a successful product-market fit.

You’ll need to have previously run a product team or supported a Head of Product. We will expect you to have had ownership over a product or significant component and be able to demonstrate how you led your team, to make it more successful.

As Head of Product, you will have owned the roadmap for a product that you have previously worked on. We’ll want to hear about some of the more complex requirements you defined and how you prioritised them into the roadmap.

You’ll have the ability to perform research and analyse complex data, identifying trends in the market and users behaviour to drive product innovation.

Additionally, you will have supported product marketing in your previous role, utilising your product and market knowledge to guide marketing teams.

We expect you to have played a part in pre-sales, representing the business from a product specialist perspective. You’ll be able to talk to us about the role you have played in supporting business development in the past.

You’ll understand how to create product documentation, overseeing production for the products you have worked on. We’ll want to hear about the range of documentation you have been responsible for.

Finally, in order to build credibility with our customers and technical teams you will need an understanding of the healthcare and life sciences sectors.

Benefits:
As our Head of Product, you will have significant influence over the future direction of our product processes.

This team will grow, offering you a chance to recruit, train and manage the team (if that’s what you want) this could lead to a CPO position fairly quickly for the right candidate.

This is a fast-growing company that is open to change and values the adoption of best practice as early as possible.

This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of an innovative new product with significant traction and help its growth accelerate.
