Modern Workplace Product Manager (End-User Compute)

This role owns Telefónica Tech UK&I’s Modern Workplace portfolio, comprising of End-User devices (Device as a Service), Microsoft 365 & Office 365 solutions, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI, specifically Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Windows 365 and Citrix), Windows OS (Windows 10 & Windows 11) solutions, collaboration and meeting room solutions (Microsoft Teams, Zoom and SIP) and our End-User Service Desk offering.

The Product Manager role is responsible for the entire product lifecycle from ideation, through definition, product development and go-to-market, through to in-life management and product end-of-life.  It will develop the Modern Workplace strategy in collaboration with stakeholders from across the business and in alignment with Telefónica Tech UK&I’s Technical Strategy, as well as implement day-to-day tactics to drive efficiency, effectiveness and value across the Modern Workplace portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and own the Modern Workplace strategy and ensure this is understood by the business
  • Maintain and execute against the Modern Workplace Roadmap, reviewing and prioritising as required
  • Own, track and report on the Modern Workplace portfolio product P&L
  • Deliver product releases on-time and within budget
  • Maintain relevant market and competitor knowledge to ensure Telefónica Tech UK&I’s Modern Workplace portfolio meets our customer’s needs today and in the future
  • Ensure our sales communities are enabled across the Modern Workplace portfolio by providing training, collateral and support, so that they can successfully identify, position and win opportunities
  • Manage in-life Modern Workplace products through review, standardisation and evolution to ensure a consistent quality standard for all released products across the entire product lifecycle

Skills & Experience

  • 1+ years of experience in Product Manager or Product Owner roles with proven and demonstrable knowledge of bringing new offerings to market
  • Understanding and experience of designing, building and in-life management of Managed Services and the associated Professional Services
  • Experience owning P&L for a product portfolio / category
  • Analytical ability to understand product performance data and market opportunity data
  • 3+ years working with Modern Workplace technologies including Microsoft 365 / Office 365, End-User Compute (VDI, Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows 365, Citrix and Device as a Service), collaboration solutions (Microsoft Teams, Zoom and associated SIP services),  and outsourced end-user service desk solutions
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication
  • Proven problem-solving mentality leveraging internal and/or external resources
