In a traditional K-12 classroom, the teacher’s role is often to lecture at the front of the classroom, with a disproportionate focus on memorizing facts. Instead, we’re envisioning for the future where teachers place a larger emphasis on teaching through hands-on projects, where teachers are able to use data to identify each student’s gaps, and where students learn the kinds of skills they’ll need throughout life.
At the heart of our Summit Learning program is Project-based Learning, where students learn by engaging with material — whether it’s a debate connected to events in the Civil Rights era, or a lab report when students are doing a genetics experiment. Through these Projects, students also have the opportunity to learn and refine the skills they’ll need beyond school, such as working with a team, interpreting data, or presenting a persuasive argument. With the help of the technology we’re building, teachers have access to granular data about each student, helping them offer targeted and individualized support to each student.
Our funding model allows us to put the student’s experience above all else, rather than be constrained by market pressures. Over the past few years, this program has grown from serving 19 schools to more than 380 around the country with promising results — since 2015, for example, the Pasadena Independent School District in Texas has seen seventh graders who were the furthest behind their peers made a 17 percent gain on the state math assessment and a 20 percent gain in reading.
As a Senior Product Manager, you will work across disciplines to design and build experiences for student work and feedback. You will partner closely with a software development team, learning scientists, human development experts, and former educators to continue to create and refine the technology tools that help our teachers and students thrive.

- Lead a core product area with a team of world-class engineers, designers, data scientists, and experts in education
- Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of products and projects
- Integrate insights from usability studies, research, and market analysis into product requirements
- Establish shared vision across internal teams and external partners and develop principled and tactical strategies
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with a diverse set of teammates and partners (internal and external)
- 5-7 years product management experience building consumer-grade technology products
- Demonstrated ability to design, build, launch, and iterate/improve on compelling products for consumers
- Strong analytical skills, including proficiency in hypothesis-driven A/B testing to drive product changes
- Strong communication skills across a broad set of cross-functional stakeholders
