Robert Half’s corporate office is seeking a Product Manager that is responsible for defining the product development strategy for Workday HCM at Robert Half. The role will define detailed business requirements by identifying the right problems to solve. Provide strategic guidance on maximizing the capabilities of Workday HCM at Robert Half. Partner closely with the development team to identify the best solutions for business problems and manage expectations with business stakeholders. Proactively engage with our global business units to understand how they utilize the system and identify areas of opportunity. Maintain communication and transparency with stakeholders throughout the product development lifecycle. Ensure adherence to industry best practices, actively engaging with Workday Community on future releases. Influence the prioritization of projects and associated budgets. Develops and maintains accurate product roadmaps.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end success of projects from discovery to launch
- Owns the product vision and works with our development and cross-functional teams to create meaningful problem statements
- Serve as the face of the product within the company, and act as the point person for product enhancements
Influence key stakeholders across our organization to align intent and prioritization - Defines clear product objectives and roadmaps based on user needs and strategic opportunities
- Be the voice of the user through research and regular interaction with users
- Help shape the product development workflow, improving how product managers, developers, and cross-functional teams all work together
- Define and track product KPIs and analyze user data to evaluate product efforts
- Own and maintain a prioritized product backlog and collaborate daily with our development team to execute
- Oversee all Workday HCM functional area product strategy and roadmap development
- Responsible for the ultimate success of the product
- Use data to identify behavioral or functional trends
- Manage agile product development process from a product management point of view
- Deliver PRDs with prioritized features and corresponding justification
- Set the long-term vision and strategy for Workday HCM
- Leverage data to make decisions
- Actively engage in the Workday Community to prepare and communicate changes that could impact our business
- Lead global collaboration efforts to identify business needs and opportunities for enhancements and efficiency
- Act as a leader within the company
- Promote transparency about prioritization, vision, strategy, and roadmap process
- Leads and influences others without authority
- Maintains and implements modern Product Management industry standards and best practices
- Maintains up to date documentation in tracking tools
Qualifications and Skills
- 3-5 years of product management experience required, preferably with HCM and Enterprise software
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or equivalent
- Strong customer focus and ability to understand and translate the voice of the customer into product strategy
- Ability to communicate complex technical information to less technical users and in-depth business processes to technical resources
- A knack for gleaning customer insights from quantitative and qualitative data
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner to a range of audience
- Experience in going through the full product lifecycle, integrating customer feedback into product requirements, driving prioritization and pre/post-launch execution
- Experience writing functional specifications and working with technical teams
- Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle
- Adaptability and demonstrated good judgment
