The Technical Product Manager role is a great opportunity for an experienced product manager to help lead product strategy and execution for MSG Networks digital products. The role will be charged with defining and executing product integrations and enhancements across the MSGN digital product portfolio, including the MSG GO live streaming app and all future digital products. The role will be responsible for a broad scope of responsibilities, including: technical requirement identification and execution; management of multiple and simultaneous projects, defining timelines and deliverables with limited guidance and oversight; relationship management of third-party vendors, technical resources, internal and external stakeholders. This role requires technical experience and competency, and the candidate must possess a thorough understanding and comfort level when discussing technology concepts, requirements and processes. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator comfortable interacting with all levels of the organization and capable of helping business teams translate their objectives into a product roadmap.

Specific Functions:

  • The role will be charged with defining and executing product integrations and enhancements across the MSGN digital product portfolio, including the MSG GO live streaming app and all future digital products
  • The role will be expected to take a leadership role and will guide business teams, engineering, and other internal/external stakeholders to bring solutions to market for the MSG GO live streaming product.
  • The role will be responsible for a broad scope of responsibilities, including: technical requirement identification and execution; management of multiple and simultaneous projects, defining timelines and deliverables with limited guidance and oversight; relationship management of third-party vendors, technical resources, internal and external stakeholders.
  • The role must manage third-party vendors to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget
  • The role will work closely with the business teams to help create and execute on product roadmaps.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 to 4 years of experience in product management, preferably in technology and / or digital media
  • The candidate should have familiarity with content managements systems, mobile & TVE apps, APIs and basic familiarity of XML/RSS/JSON feeds.
  • The candidate must have a technical background and ability to have collaborative, in-depth discussions with engineers & technology stakeholders to be able to troubleshoot issues and bring about successful outcomes. The candidate must have a demonstrated history of successfully overseeing 3rd party partner integrations from start to finish.
  • This role requires technical experience and competency, and the candidate must possess a thorough understanding and comfort level when discussing technology concepts, requirements and processes.
  • The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator comfortable interacting with all levels of the organization and capable of helping business teams translate their objectives into a product roadmap.
  • The role requires a deep product knowledge base and must understand product, customer, and stakeholder needs.
  • The candidate must have familiarity in dev-ops systems such as DNS, configuration management, Cloud infrastructure, Log collections; and is able to oversee our DevOps team
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience
  • Basic knowledge of SQL.
  • Agile project management experience. Advance experience working with tools like JIRA, and reporting platforms like Basecamp, Airtable and Gantt.
