To achieve our ambitious goals, we’re looking for an experienced Product Designer to lead design efforts for our portfolio of products that support the needs of Emergency Responders. You’ll use your broad skill set to work on innovative product solutions, from early-stage idea generation to detailed design of service features in a digital product. As one of two Product Designers at Hala Systems, you will be joining a small but empowered team that is foundational to our future as a product-led organization.
This is a local, remote position open to candidates based in Europe, with a yearly gross salary range of €70.000 – €85.000. Applications will be accepted until the end of July.

These are the responsibilities of the position
- Ideate, craft and iterate on experiences for both new and existing product offerings across the Emergency Response portfolio in partnership with our users, product managers, and engineers.
- Rapidly produce multiple concepts and prototypes, understanding when deeper exploration is warranted and when it is best to change paths and try another approach.
- Define, craft, and evolve designs within visual systems and/or standards.
- Design end-to-end flows and experiences that are simple and elegant.

- Strong collaboration skills, knowing how to contribute, influence, and find common ground.
- Natural curiosity, a desire to understand the people who use Hala’s products.
We’d love to see:
These are the technical skills and qualifications
- 4+ years of professional experience building and shipping applications or software at the level of whole features/products that encompass an end-to-end experience across a variety of platforms.
- Visual design skills with proficiency in typography, desktop/mobile UI, color, layout, iconography, and aesthetic sense and how these elements impact product function.
- Proficiency with contemporary design and prototyping tools and methods to demonstrate how a particular flow or interaction will work.
- Experience collaborating in cross-functional teams as the design lead.
- Affinity with Hala’s mission, and a passion for creating products that meet people’s functional and emotional needs.
- Business level ability in English.
- Working fluency in spoken Arabic is a strong plus.
- A university degree in Interaction Design, Visual Communications, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related design or behavioral science discipline is a strong plus.
- Experience working in a variety of organizations (start-up, corporate, agency/consultancy) is a strong plus.
