In the next 12 months you will:
Be the voice of the travel ambassador: You will conduct research to deeply understand what makes package travel purchasers tick. You will become an expert on student travel ambassador recruitment, activation, motivation and retention. You will constantly experiment with the best ways to motivate and incentivise these ambassadors whilst maintaining authenticity and credibility as core values of our product.
Drive the consumer product roadmap for travel: Craft and deliver a roadmap for providing the information, tools and workflows that an ambassador needs to successfully sell travel packages to their friends. You will take learnings from both the online travel industry and our existing advocacy software to build a world class experience.
Drive the internal product roadmap for travel: You will evaluate the existing technology and identify opportunities to simplify, streamline, augment or improve systems and workflows, taking an approach of maximising ROI and revenue growth.
Deliver an MVP and beyond: You will focus on delivering value at pace. You will use lean methods to validate your hypotheses. You will look at existing advocate behaviour and experiment to learn, iterate and improve.
Product Leadership: You will inspire both your own team of developers and designers and the broader product organisation with a clear vision for your product. You will communicate clearly using wireframes, specs and stories to help the team keep focussed on delivering value everyday. You will be laser focused on execution of your vision and build products we can all be proud of.
Maximise ambassador value: You will have a laser focus on scaling advocacy, maximising the life time value of a single ambassador.
Demonstrate ownership: You will identify the KPIs that drive the success of our product, and show demonstrable improvement against these.
Product Marketing: You will advocate for your product both internally across our organisation, and externally to support our sales and account management teams.
- An experienced B2C or B2B2C product owner, with 4+ years of direct product management experience. Experience in marketplaces and/or travel highly desirable.
- A start-up veteran, with demonstrable experience in a high growth start-up environment
- Highly analytical, extremely customer driven and relentlessly hard-working
- Willing to travel (minimum expectation of 2-3 weeks in every quarter)
