About the roles

We are looking for two experienced senior product managers to join our team. You’ll support our bold new mission to create advocates for the planet. You will deliver world class products, features or services and substantially grow and engage national and international audiences across digital platforms, whilst driving digital targets. You’ll work to understand our customers, with a focus on outcomes.

As a senior product manager, you will take a hands-on role in leading a product team through discovery, delivery and continuous optimisation of digital experiences. You will take responsibility for identifying, validating and testing product or feature initiatives from inception to delivery that support the Natural History Museum’s digital and business goals while delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Role 1: Innovate on, optimise and grow the leading content driven product (FTC to March 2025) Continue to grow our content-powered growth product, Discover, and explore the potential to create a revenue stream through a new subscription model. You’ll bring experience in working on a content-driven, growth product and discovery or innovation experience relating to new business models e.g. content subscription.

Role 2: Optimise, transform and expand two key commercial products (Permanent) Continue to iterate and grow our ticketing product to excite and engage our physical audiences and drive income through sales and donations. Deeply understand and innovate for our ecommerce customers through transforming our online shop to deliver on our ambitious new vision. You’ll bring experience in scaling, optimising and transforming income-led commercial services to drive excellent customer experience, audience engagement and income.

About you

You will have deep digital product management experience, creating highly successful consumer products that drive growth, repeat engagement and conversion. You will have a successful track record in working in an agile / lean environment, using various testing and experimentation techniques to inform decision making and drive outcomes and success metrics. As a senior product manager, you will thrive in a collaborative, fast paced and transformational environment, leading teams to success.

In addition to the hands-on product manager role, you will line manage and/or coach and mentor product managers within the product team.
