Associate Product Manager, Subscriptions and Services

Introduction

iRobot seeks an Associate Product Manager, Services to be at the forefront of iRobot’s subscription and services business. In this role, you will be creating and managing the next generation of services that combine physical products, digital content, and loyalty programs across our portfolio of robots and home products. You will leverage consumer insights and iRobot’s product roadmap to envision, develop, and bring to market services and features. Your key objectives will be to grow service membership as well as customer lifetime value and profitability through new program features that attract, engage, and deliver value to our members. You will lead key initiatives in the development cycle and the management of them post-launch.

In this role you can expect to be exposed to cutting edge consumer robotics technology and develop/refine your leadership skills in a fast-paced, consumer-centric environment bringing exciting products to market and improving the membership experience.

What You Will Do
Drive membership growth by creating new business models, lowering customer acquisition costs, and improving the value proposition of our services.
Increase customer lifetime value through new service features and engagement that reduce subscriber churn and grow monthly recurring revenue.
Improve services profitability by developing improved processes, employing new tools, and implementing new service components that reduce operating costs.
Collaborate with counterparts in Product, Operations, Marketing, IT, Design, Engineering, Finance, and Commercial to drive membership growth, higher lifetime value, and greater profitability.
In partnership with analytics and data science, monitor and act against key metrics that track the health and trajectory of the services business.
Take a strategic and consumer-centric approach to help define and manage the iRobot services roadmap.
Lead cross-functional teams to deliver holistic launch commitments (timing, cost, capabilities, user experience, and business results) on complex programs.
Build business cases for your recommendations, factoring in research and data.
Develop requirements, as an advocate for the consumer and the business, ensuring new offerings meet objectives.
Act as a business owner, constantly identifying improvements and new opportunities to deliver against our KPIs.
Become an iRobot product expert, in partnership with researchers and other product managers, to understand how the portfolio may impact our service offerings.

To Be Successful You Will Have
Passion for the consumer and strength in creating solutions to meet their needs
Experience developing and modeling business models in collaboration with financial partners
Solid analytical skills, the curiosity to uncover new insights, and the drive to act on your findings
Demonstrated success in Product Management of consumer products or services. We would love to see products you are working on or have launched.
Demonstrated ability to influence and drive business success across functions including Marketing, Engineering, Operations & Finance
Technical savvy – you don’t need to be a developer, but you do need to balance and prioritize technical issues and customer needs, while managing tradeoffs, backlogs, and evaluating opportunistic new ideas with internal and external partners
A competitive desire to win by leading via influence and effective communication, storytelling, and customer empathy
Keen understanding of product marketing and go to market planning. Experience considering how the services you’re building could be marketed to the people you’re targeting and how marketing tactics drive growth.
High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously. Ability to think strategically and execute methodically
History of teamwork and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves on a wide variety of tasks to get the job done.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, technical field, or technical management
MBA preferred
2-5 years of experience spanning Product management
2-5 years of experience in consumer services or products
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is desired
