About the Product Team

As a Product team our job is to deeply understand our market, competitors, customers and users, build empathy for market problems, identify underserved needs, and anticipate the products and capabilities that will make a difference, and leveraging the latest innovations in technology to create and deliver solutions to the market. We’re responsible for the “what” and the “why”. We define the product direction, strategy, and roadmap. We work as one with other disciplines, inspiring and leading our team from idea right through to launch.We are part of the broader R&D team that is made up of technology specialists, software engineers, QA, and DevOps and UX design. The platform comprises a robust data modelling layer with a calculation and algorithm engine, all exposed through an analytic reporting and application building front-end.

Role Summary

We are looking for a product expert to join our team to work in partnership with our customer, technology, finance, and operations leaders, based in London. The role, which will report to the Chief Executive Officer, will be responsible for managing the product team (current 3 people), the product roadmap, business analysis, UX/UI and all other aspects of the product function.You will have already experienced the opportunities and challenges of building a new product within an established Series A/B business – an environment where established processes and rapid change converge – and bring your knowledge and experience to enrich the management team.Alongside strong leadership and management skills, you will have a deep understanding of the analytics technology market, product management and the product development process.

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead our product team, designing the right operating model, recruiting, inspiring and motivating team members and creating a positive working environment.
  • Develop the product roadmap ensuring it is aligned to the overall company vision
  • Be the guardian of Metapraxis’ financial analytics IP ensuring solution best practice across customers and partners
  • Oversee the research of customers and competitors to determine the future platform and product direction, in partnership with consulting and marketing teams
  • Contribute to the marketing and branding approach from a product perspective

 

Skills, Education and Experience:

  • Effective communication, interpersonal and managerial skills
  • Highly commercial and analytical
  • Demonstrated experience leading a product function, ideally as Head of Product, with a track record of success in analytics and/or finance technologies product development
  • Strong understanding of the full product development lifecycle from concept, through design to deployment
  • Knowledge and interest in best practices and trends in software development

 

Location

We have a central London office on the Southbank just near the Tate Modern. Post Covid we are embracing a hybrid working approach that gives us the opportunity to work remotely 1–4 days a week.
