Position: Product Manager
A Product Manager owns the complete product lifecycle for one or more solutions within the Neon One product portfolio. Drives product initiatives from start to end – from initial research and ideation through product launch and ongoing iteration. Through customer visits and market research, collaborates with cross-functional teams to define and deliver product solutions that solve real world problems and bring value to our customers.
The Exciting Part (Your 80s: 80% of your creative focus):
- Lead discovery efforts to identify and evaluate opportunities to deliver value to customers through new products and solutions
- Conduct in person and virtual customer visits (NIHITO) to elicit product feedback and market insights
- Establish and own the product vision and strategy for one or more product solutions within our product portfolio
- Proactively gather market, product, and customer insights to shape and iterate product vision and strategy
- Evangelize product vision, strategy, and roadmap to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment on progress and expectations
- Manage a prioritized product backlog, balancing market, customer, and technical needs
- Collect and analyze qualitative and quantitative data in order to drive product prioritization and decision making
- Define detailed product requirements and scope, in collaboration with product development teams
- Establish objective product goals with success and acceptance criteria using meaningful metrics, KPIs, and quantifiable business outcomes
- Establish value-based pricing for owned products as part of the Neon One Ecosystem
The Expected Part (Your 20s: role responsibilities and opportunities to enhance)
- Collaborate and align with cross-functional team members to facilitate and ensure organizational readiness for upcoming product solutions
- Partner with marketing and sales teams to identify the value proposition and properly position products in the marketplace
- Collaborate with product development teams to assess and create solutions that are valuable, usable, and feasible
- Partner with service delivery teams to elicit and understand valuable customer insights
- Collaborate with other Product Managers across the Neon One Ecosystem to deliver the greatest value across the product portfolio
Great to Haves:
- Knowledge of Agile, Lean, and continuous delivery principles and methodologies
- Ability to make data driven decisions, as well as decisions based on incomplete or imperfect information
- Ability to develop business cases to support product decisions (feature selection and prioritization, build/buy/partner)
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships, motivate others, and build consensus
- Knowledge of nonprofit fundraising, giving, and donor management
- Knowledge of nonprofit community foundations and giving days
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, agile environment
- Passion to work with mission driven nonprofit organizations
- Bachelor degree in business administration, computer science, or related field
- Three years of product management, Agile product owner, or business analyst experience
- Pragmatic Institute certification preferred
