About the role
Apheris is revolutionizing how businesses commercialize their data for ML by enabling governed, secure, private computational access without sharing data. We’re looking for a Product Manager at Senior or Director level at a pivotal time in our growth. You will work with our product development teams throughout the software development lifecycle, enabling speed to market while ensuring secure products. This is a great opportunity for someone who loves rolling up their sleeves and getting hands-on to help shape the future of our cutting-edge technology.
We’re seeking candidates who have knowledge of AI regulation and security, and the subsequent challenges that data owners face when trying to enable secure AI workloads on sensitive data.
What you will do
Understand the issues that data custodians face when trying to enable AI workflows on sensitive data: changing AI regulation in different geographies, maintaining security for complex workloads while also ensuring privacy for AI;
Work with our engineering and commercial teams to build a solution that meets the above challenges;
Help to grow the Product Management function at Apheris.
You should apply if
You have/are a:
- Technologist at heart. Bachelor / Master / PhD in Computer Science or related fields (e.g., Physics, Mathematics, Engineering) and 5+ years of relevant working experience;
- Experience and understanding of regulation and certification (eg ISO norms like 27001, 27701, HIPAA, GDPR and AI-specific ones like the EU AI Act);
- Strong understanding of +data steward/data privacy officer and CISO/InfoSec personas and their needs;
- Product Management experience with a tech-first product;
- Excellent communicator, including fluency in English;
- Understanding of and appetite for working with cutting-edge technology in an early-stage startup environment;
- Based in a European time zone.
Bonus points if
You have experience with:
- The impact of regulation on deep learning applications;
- Data engineering;
- Distributed/federated machine learning systems;
- IT security, regulation and compliance.

Logistics
Our interview process is split into three phases:
Initial Screening: If your application matches our requirements, we invite you to an initial video call to explore the fit. In this 30-45 minutes interview, you will get to know us and the role. The interviewer will be interested in your relevant experiences and skills, as well as answer any question on the company and the role itself that you may have.
Deep Dive + case study: In this phase, a domain expert from our team will assess your skills and knowledge required for the role by asking you about meaningful experiences or your solutions for specific scenarios in line with the role we are staffing.
Final Interview: Finally, we invite you for up to three hours of targeted sessions with our founders or other key members of our team, and you’ll have the opportunity to meet future co-workers to understand more about Apheris’ culture and ways of working.
