Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Provide design leadership to the product design team, guiding them in creating user-centered and visually appealing designs
In collaboration with Product Managers, Lead the design process, from research and ideation to prototyping and user testing, to ensure that designs are based on user needs and feedback
Create user personas, customer journey maps, and other design artifacts to inform the design process
Design intuitive and user-friendly interfaces that enhance the user experience of the product.
Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define and design user experiences for the company’s products
Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions and validate design solutions
Create wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs that effectively communicate design concepts and solutions to stakeholders
Develop and maintain design systems, guidelines, and libraries to ensure consistency across all products
Implement and evangelize design best practices within the organisation
Participate in cross-functional design reviews and provide feedback to other designers on the team
Work closely with the engineering team to ensure that designs are implemented accurately and to a high standard
Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, techniques, and technologies
Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to ensure designs are feasible and align with technical constraints

- Elevate the overall design quality of the product by introducing innovative design solutions and user-centered approaches
- Improve the user experience of the product, resulting in increased user satisfaction and engagement
- Ensure that design goals and strategies are aligned with the company’s business objectives and the needs of various stakeholders
- Create user-centred designs that provide a seamless and enjoyable experience for customers
- Increase user engagement and retention through well-designed and intuitive products
- Continuously improve and iterate on design solutions based on user feedback and metrics
- Collaborate effectively with other stakeholders to ensure design solutions are aligned with business goals
- Develop and maintain a strong and consistent brand identity across all products
- Foster the growth and development of the product design team, providing mentorship and guidance
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Strong understanding of user-centred design principles and practices
- Knowledge of design tools and software such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, etc
- Familiarity with web and mobile design standards and patterns
- Understanding of typography, colour theory, and layout
- Knowledge of design systems and component-based design
Strong visual design skills and attention to detail - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
