ABOUT HAPPITY
Happity is fast establishing itself as the UK’s leading marketplace for baby & toddler groups (aka ‘parent & child classes’). We are rapidly growing and are looking for a dynamic Product Manager. The initial contract will be as Maternity Cover, but as the team is expanding, there may well be the opportunity to join on a permanent basis at the end of this period.
Happity is run by a small team who are passionate about the work we do to end loneliness in new parents and we are proud of our achievements with our products. We have seen huge growth in the last year, with over 1.6m parent users in the last 12 months and 100k subscribed to our mailing list.
Our team is trusted to work remotely and fully flexibly, taking responsibility for their own working hours and practices that will help them deliver their best work. This role will be at the heart of our nimble development team.
If you have proven experience working at a mid/senior level as a Product Manager, have an eye for detail, and are self-motivated, then we want to hear from you!
OUR STACK AND PROCESS
Happity is primarily a web based application. We’re also on Android app and have ambitions to build an iOS App in future. Our design and build is focused around user centric, data driven, mobile first principles.
We’re an agile Product and Tech team and aim to iteratively deliver updates that wow our class providers and parents. We’re also invested in constantly improving the way we work – we hold regular retrospectives and value everyone’s input.
Our current tech stack is outlined below but we make decisions on technologies and architecture based on need. This is especially true given we face the exciting challenges of scaling up and rapidly delivering new features over the coming months!

You are an experienced Product Manager with strong digital experience
You enjoy communicating as well as designing
You have knowledge of the baby & toddler market

You enjoy a high sense of ownership and autonomy
You have experience working remotely, enjoy this and are self-motivated
You have innovative ideas which will set Happity apart from its competitors

Desirable:
You have experience in the areas of marketing, communications and project management
You have experience growing early-stage companies to post Series A in the consumer space
You have experience in a parenting-related company or digital solutions
WHAT THE ROLE INVOLVES:
– Working alongside our CEO-Product to maintain and execute our product strategy
– Identifying and implementing new product functions to drive sales, signups, and overall customer engagement from initial awareness to loyal customer
– Ensuring our products meet the needs of our customers; parent and provider side
– Creating and maintaining new products, ensuring they are a match for our target audience
– Working with the tech team to ensure our technology supports our products
– Working with the marketing and customer support teams to ensure our customers understand the full range of our product’s benefits

HOURS & COMPENSATION
Hours: This role can be filled as part-time OR full-time hours contract if preferred. The initial contract will be as Maternity Cover, but as the team is expanding, there may well be the opportunity to join on a permanent basis at the end of this period.
Pay: £60-70k pro-rated, depending on experience
Equity: EMI share options scheme available for permanent employees
Closing Date: 12th October 2023 with rolling interviews so the position may be filled sooner.
