Redgate is looking for a Product Marketing Manager to take charge of lead generation for a particular product or product group. Your key responsibilities will be ensuring appropriate positioning and messaging, as well as developing and executing the marketing plan for your area to meet agreed targets.

You’ll be working closely with development, and product releases will often be the vehicle to generate excitement around your product. It’s also your responsibility to find new angles to talk about mature and well-established products.

You’ll speak to customers regularly to understand their needs and expectations. Using these insights, you’ll work closely with the development teams to influence future product direction and develop an un understanding of how your product(s) need to be positioned and how your target audience can be reached. You’ll be the champion of your customers’ needs within Redgate, and the champion of your product to the world.

From past experience, you’ll bring a solid understanding of different marketing tactics to Redgate, so you can confidently develop a marketing plan and decide on the right marketing mix to meet your targets. We’ll expect you to be confident writing and promoting whitepapers and blogposts, putting together content for webinars, engaging in social media conversations, and working with influencers. To do all of this successfully, you’ll need to understand Redgate’s technical domain and be confident talking to technical professionals about technical products. You’ll be working with other marketers specializing in areas such as events, PPC, and media – they bring the channel expertise, you’ll be in charge of the product and domain understanding.

You’ll act as a link between sales and development, ensuring they have input into each other’s plans, and updating and training sales when products change.

We’ll expect you to be data driven when it comes to your marketing plan – both in terms of using marketing metrics to inform where you should spend your time and reporting back what you have achieved and how we’re tracking against targets.

What would help?

  • Product marketing experience within the technical sector. If you’ve got a technical background and have experience and enthusiasm for the commercial side, we’d love to hear from you.
  • Experience with SQL Server would be a major advantage.

What’s the package?

  • A great benefits package.
  • £38,000 to £50,000, depending upon experience
  • You’ll work about 40 hours a week, with flexible work time
