PayLease has an exciting opportunity for a UX Researcher to join our team. The UX Researcher will take their base of knowledge in terms of human behavior, best practices and research methods to create a content strategy and information architecture for the best possible user experience. They will effectively engage with users to extract the data needed to create a story or a user journey. As an excellent collaborator and leader, they will work closely with Product Management, Engineering and Marketing to create best-in-class experiences for our users.

Minimum Qualifications
- 1-3 years of professional UX research and design experience.
- Expertise in using design research to create Personas, Process Flows and User Journey Maps.
- Bachelor’s Degree Required
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident status required.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Complete systematic and defensible user research to identify the end-user’s goals and pain points.
- Use the data returned through this research to create a content strategy, information architecture, mock ups and prototypes
- Own the overall purpose of the user experience and work closely with UI and development to ensure that the appearance and functionality foster to that purpose.
- Translate qualitative and quantitative data into compelling recommendations to engage the users.
- Prioritize the feedback and recommendations to ensure that we deliver the highest value items first.
- Work in an Agile environment and lead iterative evaluations of user-interface designs (usability testing, mockup interviews, qualitative and quantitative measures) and communicate results with recommendations.
- Independently perform research to gather end-user requirements, evaluate competitor offerings and identify similar use cases that are resonating in the marketplace.
- Own analytics related to usability and make recommendations based on data-driven assessments.
Skills & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required, emphasis on Human Factor or Human Computer Interface (HCI) preferred
- 1-3 years of professional UX research and design experience.
- Expertise in using design research to create Personas, Process Flows and User Journey Maps.
- Strong background in research and user testing methodologies
- Experience in user centered research methods including interviews, observations, surveys, design workshops, and contextual inquiries.
- Understanding of wireframing and rapid prototype design tools, i.e. Axure, Balsamiq, Invision, Sketch, Proto.io or other similar tools.
- Ability to identify and evaluate key UX metrics into findings and write recommendation reports.
- Desire to work hands-on for an innovative project from start to finish, and possess the ability to think creatively and contribute fresh ideas and progressive insights.
- Should be able to showcase their work via a digital or printed portfolio that demonstrates creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
