£40,000 to £50,000 pa, depending on skills and experience
This is a hugely exciting time at Tribal as we are in the throes of shaping our new generation of Student solutions which extend beyond building a modern cloud-based Student Management system and embrace student retention and engagement.
Our new product, Tribal Edge, is set to revolutionise the experience for students and institutions across the world and enable them to engage, learn and achieve in a personalised and engaging way via mobile and cloud-based services.
We now have an opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Product Owner to join the Student Experience and Innovations team. The team owns the Student Edge mobile app which focuses specifically on student engagement and social collaboration.
You will help to shape our Tribal Edge product family and to transition and contribute to roadmap planning for our current products. We are looking for an individual with expert knowledge of a particular facet of educational management in either the HE or FE sector – e.g. Learning Technology, Student Services or other student focussed role, or for individuals with a deep knowledge of the particular sector, particularly social learning collaboration and Next Generation Digital Learning Environments.
The role can be based either in one of our UK offices or home-based in the UK. There will be travel involved along with some flexibility to participate in calls, outside normal working hours, with our colleagues in Australia.
The role
We see this role as that of a true Product Owner, working in an agile software development environment to ensure that our products continually exceed the requirements of the customers. On a day to day basis you will be ensuring that product requirements and user stories are clearly defined, documented and articulated to facilitate the production of a clear roadmap, and ensuring that the success and added value of product improvements and solutions can be clearly tracked. You will also define and manage backlogs whilst also playing a key role in articulating and evangelising the unique value proposition of the product, so that it is clearly understood by key stakeholders.
The person
This role would be a great opportunity for seasoned Product Owners, or individuals, such as ICT Learning Technologists, with extensive knowledge of the education management market and the ability to quickly learn the fundamentals of Product Management. Any knowledge of digital innovation is highly advantageous.
You will have good customer service skills, excellent organisation and planning skills and first class interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly form productive and effective relationships with stakeholders and communicate clearly and effectively.
