Tiny is the company behind TinyMCE, the world’s most popular rich text editor. TinyMCE is used in millions of websites and applications to create notes, write emails, publish blog posts and more. Tiny has been rolling out new products and services around the open source project including TinyMCE Cloud. Our team is based in Australia, USA and Sweden and sometimes we work after normal working hours to cover different time zones and deliver projects on time.

You crave data and, when it isn’t there, you seek experimentation to validate your hypotheses.  As Product Owner of Digital Experience Team, you will guide the future of technology used to convert visitors to actual users.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage the product roadmap
  • Collaborate with design and engineering to execute on the roadmap and deliver value to customers and the business
  • Guide conceptualisation, design, development, and release of new features and products across multiple teams
  • Translate the objectives of the product roadmap into user stories that can be worked on by the engineers and prioritises new work as it comes in
  • Lead agile ceremonies to ensure collaboration and team cohesion at each stage of work
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to align strategy, positioning, and partnerships
  • Understand selling and conversion process to improve the organization’s results by implementing changes on the organization’s business web pages
  • Analyse data trends in our customer behaviour to help influence and inform the direction of the product decision
  • Leverage data, including usability research and market analysis, to deeply understand our products, define product requirements and set metrics that measure the success of product objectives
  • Ensure we ship high-quality product at a timely pace
  • Comfortable dealing directly with and presenting to senior / C-level leadership and board members
  • Comfortable dealing directly with  customers and partners

 

Skills

  • 3+ years of product owner experience on a SaaS product, with a proven history of shipping and managing products with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong design understanding: you may not be a designer but you should be able to think deeply about product design decisions and have an understanding of how to create simple but elegant user interfaces
  • Technical fluency: you may not be a developer but you have an understanding of the technical architecture of complex web and mobile applications and can work with engineers to make intelligent technical trade-offs
  • Excellent writing and communication skills: you understand how to adjust your messaging based on the audience and know how to communicate clearly and concisely
  • Entrepreneurial spirit: you’re a self-starter, can identify opportunities, understand potential impact and effectively prioritise across multiple competing priorities
  • Detail-oriented: you’re meticulous with everything from detailing robust feature specs to chasing down the nitty-gritty dependencies across complex projects

 

Experience

  • Delivering marketing sites for SaaS and developer products
  • Strong BA experience (Google Analytics, MixPanel, Woopra)
  • Web content industry (web content management, digital experience)
  • Solid A/B Testing knowledge
