We are searching for a front-end web developer. This vital team member will be responsible for the delivery of hiber’s new website, an essential strategic asset. They will ensure the website conforms to brand and is delivered in line with web standards. Following the successful delivery of the website they will maintain the site, its content and functionality.
The ideal candidate will follow design specifications and release schedules, but be flexible, recognising that hiber is a nimble, young company committed to pushing for the best outcome at the expense of making changes along the way. We are keen for this new team member to work closely with all business stakeholders, influencing the output of their work rather than simply taking instruction.
Our front-end web developer will be part of our top-quality and engaging tech team, reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer.
We are particularly interested in candidates who have spent time working for an agency before moving in-house. We are looking for candidates who are excited about truly belonging to an organisation, showing a track record of commitment, rather than a bias to freelance. We are interested in candidates with a minimum of six years professional experience.
In addition to showing an excellent track record in core front-end web developer skills, our preferred candidate will have knowledge and experience of:
- Split testing
- CSS 3
- Release cycles
- Knowledge of programming patterns
- API-driven content management systems
- Frameworks such as Facebook’s React, Vue, and Angular
