VP Product

Key responsibilities:
  • The incumbent will be responsible for global product vision, strategy, definition, delivery and platform design of the end-to-end global payment lifecycle.
  • Define outcomes & drive business value to all enterprise users through prioritization of company needs to enhance our customer experience, increase revenue & support company growth.
  • Work across engineering and product teams to accelerate implementation through use of OKR’s, simplified internal processing and a repeatable delivery blueprint.
  • Provide leadership to cross-functional teams and direction to the enterprise in long-range strategy planning to address complex business issues.
  • Understand the evolving compliance and regulatory requirements with key focus on gaps to stabilize and eliminate vulnerabilities in this portfolio.
  • Actively lead the investment decisioning process by ensuring provision of information concerning specific business opportunities where technology can enhance the value of the business.
  • Support the enterprise strategy by providing input on the alignment of the product and platform blueprints.
  • Act as a key member across product and engineering leadership communities and champion the implementation of competitive best practices across the enterprise.
  • Participate in the engagement of delivery and/or support teams, negotiating where necessary to resolve any resourcing or prioritization conflicts that may arise due to availability or skill.
  • Monitor the quality of any banking, vendor or third party supplied resources by reporting on any trends, issues and achievements and escalating where appropriate.
  • Evangelize the product both internally and externally, shepherding products through the development process, advocating to achieve the best outcomes.

 

A successful candidate will have:
  • Extensive experience in product management, design thinking, rapid prototyping, iterative development and Agile mindset;
  • Seasoned leader with demonstrated thought leadership, strategic, analytical and people leadership skills;
  • Deep technical acumen with the ability to flip seamlessly between customer, executive stakeholder and engineering dialogs.
  • Proven track record in delivering large scale products and global transformation initiatives in dynamic and complex business, regulatory and technology environments.
  • Strong multi-business unit stakeholder management and ability to influence across multiple levels of leadership;
  • Must possess a passion for customers and have excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to lead and influence across multiple levels and teams;
  • Strong experience in building and leading global teams;
  • A strong plus: Previous deep experience in banking, payment and/or money movement products on a global basis with an understanding of global market variation, corresponding banking relationships, treasury needs, etc.
  • Experience managing external strategic partners;
  • Backlog juggler with a proven ability to manage competing stakeholder needs into a cohesive product roadmap;
  • 15+ years of experience in Product Management and/or Product Development;
  • At least 5 years’ experience leading and coaching product talent;
  • MBA or related field recommended, with a BA/BS preferably in CS or technical field.
