Product Manager

In this role, you will be working within the Common User Experience team, which aims to provide travellers with a connected and coherent experience of Skyscanner and encourages them to return to us time and again. You will look ‘upstream’ to set the strategy for how the product should evolve, working closely with the Head of Common User Experience and other core stakeholders to ensure you are in line with the broader business strategy (as well as challenging that where you see fit!) It will then be down to you to convert that product strategy into clear roadmap deliverables and work with your delivery teams to make the strategy a reality.

Core responsibilities:

Own the strategy for your product and ensure that the plan is line with the key business objectives
Lead the definition and planning of the roadmap for your product area, identifying new development needs and on-going improvements
Collaborate with Engineering, UX, Design, Marketing, Commercial and Service Management to successfully drive product developments from concept through to launch
Communicate regularly with people across the business, both to obtain input for the product roadmap and to share the progress and plans
Lead the vision for the product and manage the on-going priorities for the team developing the product, working closely with the Project Manager and Technical Lead to keep the team on track

Experience:

You will have substantially contributed to at least one high-quality, successful consumer product

Bonus points if:

The product is in a complex, and heavily competitive category like e-commerce, search or social
The product is present in multiple geographic markets
You can demonstrate experience in creating mobile consumer products
You have start-up experience or strong evidence of being a self-starter

About you:

Possess extreme attention to detail and you will be passionate about getting all the product details right
Demonstrable passion for travel (you travel a lot for leisure and you use the internet to research and book travel)
Product, engineering and/or design backgrounds will be highly valued
Passionate about the internet and substantial knowledge of the different products for web and mobile and substantial awareness of major consumer and design trends
You will be energetic and resilient, and highly organised
You will have strong people skills and be a natural leader
