Product Manager

General Purpose

To Drive and support the strategy behind the continuing evolution of the efinancialcareers.com web sites, from conception through execution and evaluation. Manage existing products.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

– This is a very varied role and the tasks you will be expected to be involved with include and are not limited to the following:
Own product roadmap for product line and execute it utilizing market research, competitive analysis and best-in-class benchmarking to help define new functions and features
– Work with business owners, executive sponsors, and stakeholders throughout the organization to translate business objectives into product requirements and key features / benefits
– Define and document the scope of a project, identifying key milestones and phases
– Play a lead role in the product lifecycle by breaking down product requirements into user stories, participating in development sprints and taking the product/project to market launch
– Work with the Technology Team to ensure business requirements are fully communicated, allowing them to translate requirements into technical specifications used for developing code
– Produce high-level wireframes and flow diagrams
– Collaborate with the UI designer/s on UI specs, detailed wireframes and design prototypes
– Participate in user acceptance testing to ensure business and technical requirements are met
– Coordinate the communication of feature scope and customer benefits and ensure they are clearly
– Understood by internal stakeholders at all times
– Work with and train the Marketing, Sales and Client Services teams to help develop localized product collateral for product launches/product line enhancements.

Additional Responsibilities:

– Measure product performance after a new feature is implemented
– Analyse web metrics to provide ideas for change and to ensure highest conversion rate
– Act as category expert within the company backed by competitive and market analysis
– Create business cases for products to introduce new projects into the prioritisation process
– Miscellaneous duties as assigned
– Responsibilities could extend to line managing associate product manager/s and UI designers

Person Specification

Skills required:

– Minimum 5 years in a program management/product management / product development role
– Excellent understanding of web development process
– Good strategic thinking skills
– Ability to continuously prioritize development based on business value
– Excellent oral and written communication skills
– Proven leadership skills in product management and delivery
– Proven market research ability
– Strong understanding of search driven vertical websites a distinct advantage
– Experience in working with an Agile Technology Team, preferably using Scrum
– Demonstrated proficiency with web analytics tools
– Strong affinity with data driven product management and Big Data
– Experience of working with a product that has a global localized web presence
-Team management

Educational Level/professional qualifications (minimum requirement)

– Degree educated or equivalent

Location: Liverpool St / Old St, London.
Remuneration: up to £65,000 Base / 10% Bonus / Pension / 25 Days Holiday / Healthcare
