Smartbox is undertaking a large-scale investment to put in place a best-in-class web and mobile platform to better serve and grow our multi-million user base. Responsibilities cover our web and mobile properties in 11 countries as well as our marketing services platform for our partners (+40K hotels, restaurants, spas, adventure centres, etc). This role will help us revolutionise our industry by building exciting and innovative products for our customers.
Key responsibilities include:
Take the role as Product Owner for our agile development team, and contribute to the pool of ideas on how to improve Smartbox in terms of our offering, product features and UX
Work with Commercial, Tech, Marketing and your Product colleagues to drive the execution of agile development to deliver impressive improvement in customer experience and metrics
Engage proactively with a broad range of stakeholders in an open honest and direct manner, to balance commercial and UX needs, while ensuring that relevant issues are debated, decided on and initiatives are delivered
Create and maintain a backlog of initiatives and execute this through A/B testing, data analysis and validation of underlying hypotheses and business cases. You will also be responsible for aligning the initiatives with our product strategy and vision
Produce and communicate product requirements using SCRUM methodology, including requirement specifications, user stories, wireframes & prototypes and ensure they are backed by data-driven decision making
Monitor and analyse customer behaviour and product performance throughout and after every initiative through A/B testing and measure against KPI’s, to ensure that our technology investments are successful. Key deliverables are revenue, traffic and happy users (e.g. NPS)
Essential Competencies/ skills :
Core Product Management skills at a high level, with 3-5 years documented track record within on-line in is a must.
Good data analysis skills, excel proficiency, and experience with A/B testing
User behaviour analysis skills
Great communication skills. Ability to engage in debate and challenge with a wide variety of stakeholders of varying seniority
Able to manage a multitude of parallel initiatives and experience managing multiple stakeholders
Keen understanding of online and mobile business models and technologies – without necessarily being a techie
Able to identify user needs and translate them into online and mobile product strategies
A sound commercial understanding and experience balancing user and business needs
Relevant Bachelor’s degree from a leading university
Impeccable level of spoken and written English is a requirement
Desired Competencies/ skills :
Previous experience with a Marketplace business, preferably in Travel tech
Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, hipchat)
Web analytics (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics)
Salesforce
Fluency in one or more major European languages is a plus
